Shai on gias pod

I actually find shai really refreshing he seems to have a good heart it’s nice to have someone who is truly just being themselves and finding their vs those who are used to the cameras and more trained or egotistic. I really hope we get to see him again in season 3!

Can we talk Ava

I don’t get the hate I’ve been seeing for Gia. I found Ava to be extremely stuck up last season, and again this season first episode she’s very rude and quite bitchy tbh. She seems like she thinks she’s too good for them like girl you can’t even pay your bills let’s bring the ego down to reality

She also said people are sooo sensitive now when Brooke’s told her not to voice her opinion that the break up is fake, yet she’s trying to argue over just being called a liar like make it make sense 😭

Would you recommend a holiday in Albania?

Myself and my partner are looking to go on holiday mid September for around 7/8 days. Just looking to stay in the one town or city and not travel around as we won’t be renting a car. I’ve seen lots of tiktoks about Albania and was wondering if people would recommend going there at that time of year, or at all?

We love to go sightseeing, into some history and seeing the local culture, but most importantly we love to eat and chill by the pool. Is there any city or town in particular that you guys would recommend ? ☺️

Alicia’s Irish surname : Carmody

Do we know if Alicia’s surname is from her mother or her father? Carmody is an Irish surname. Mainly from Munster.
It is from ancient Irish origin, anglicized from the Gaelic Ó Cearmada. It translates to "descendant of Cearmaid," a personal name historically believed to mean "descendant of the black hunting dog".
The root name Cearmaid is associated with martial prowess and ancient Irish nobility.

Many Carmodys emigrated to the United States during the Irish Potato Famine (1846–1848) and settled heavily in New York and other East Coast hubs.

Very interesting since she is said to be Italian, I’ve never really seen the name carmody pop up on any of these American reality shows it’s nice to see! There’s still loads throughout Munster in Ireland, with many actually being Irish Travellers.

Edit: woah I never realised how common it is to be Irish Italian mix in New York/ New Jersey! Felt a bit silly for a minute seeing all the comments flood in oops 🙈 100% Irish living in Ireland here so had no clue, my ancestors have made it further across the world than me at the moment 😂😭 nice to see tho! Crazy how much connections are out there, one my grandparents are actually a Carmody so it’s mad to watch how far the name has travelled.

Alicia - homelessness

Guys, homelessness has been a big topic of convo when it comes to Alicia. I really don’t get the attack on her saying she wasn’t because she had family to crash with. She was a child and her and her mother having to move around and live with family members because they had no home, that IS being homeless 😭 like what. They didn’t have their own place that is rough as a child growing up

She can be grateful to her family for helping them out but at the same time acknowledge that it was difficult and they were left homeless. I don’t understand why liz seems to think that her saying she’s homeless is going to like put shame on her family or something

Social Care Work Jobs in Canada? / social services

Hi everyone. Registered social care worker in Ireland here. I’m wondering what type of similar roles people got into when moving to Canada with social care qualifications? I see a lot of social work but not much social care/ community/ social service
I’ve been looking mainly at the Alberta area but unsure how easy it is to get work as a social care worker there. Any advice appreciated 😁

Have experience in homelessness, youth justice and diversion, family support work, addiction, children’s residential.

Hi everyone, I work for a youth work organisation and my contract says im not meant to work anywhere else. I work 35 hours Monday to Friday. I was considering doing some relief work shifts now and again with an agency as i am a registered social care worker, for some extra money as they youth work salary isn’t great. My contract states:

“You will be required to devote your full attention and abilities to your job duties during your working hours and to act in the best interests of — at all times. For so long as you are employed by —-, you may not, without the prior written consent of —, be in any way directly or indirectly engaged or concerned in any

other business, volunteering, undertaking or employment.”

Has anyone any experience of doing the odd shift anyways regardless of this? I’m just wondering how often these parts of a contract as actually enforced, or if I did do a shift with an agency with HR or Payroll in my main job be notified that I was being paid by another employer ?
