HDMI connection between pc and display screen

Hello! I just moved into college and bought a custom pc from someone 2nd hand a couple of years ago. It was working fine before packing and moving but now it won't connect to our display screen (tv).

It gives me a hard time connecting via hdmi and when it finally takes away the no connection found indication, the screen is blank.

I tried 2 different hdmi cords and 2 different display screens, same issue.

Any help is appreciated

Course Materials List - Franke

Hello!

Unfortunately, the campus websites are not giving me the information I need so if you know what textbooks are used for the following courses, it would be greatly appreciated! It's primarily for financial planning, not to purchase atm.

Also, any tips for these courses are welcome! Thank you :)

Gas types

Hi everyone, Hopefully I can get some insight from those who travel via older vehicles can help me out.

I have a 2000 Saturn which requires 15% ethanol gasoline, my problem is no where nearby seems to sell it. Does anyone know of anyway to find 15% without calling everywhere in my pathway? Right now I'm looking in the Casa Grande, AZ area.

I'm aware of the government website for pure gas however everywhere with gas info available is almost an hour away.

Thanks for any help

Happy Monday everyone,

For those who have taken ECO 373, would you recommend it as a 4-week summer course? The professor is Andrew Parkes.

Recipies for college

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is well.

In my downtime, I am working on building a recipe book to last me through the rest of college. Last semester, it was just too much chicken for me and my partner, so we need to mix it up, but I'm out of ideas, and I'm the cook :(

My partner will be working as a scribe in the emergency department, so lunch ideas that keep energy up are a bonus.

My experience for cooking tends to fall towards baking, Hispanic, and Asian foods. However, I'm open to other food cultures. I'm also okay with odd ends/cuts of meat; I'm aware that meat like ground beef or chicken breasts tend to be more expensive than a thigh or something else.

Needs

Shopping: Primary shopping will come from Sam's Club or food bank items (Typical food bank items include canned goods like peaches, corn, tomato sauce, spaghetti, mac n cheese, etc.)

Who I'm cooking for: 2 people

Frequency of cooking: Ideally, one day a week for a few hours

Diversity: Okay with the same type of food every day of the week as long as it's scrumptious

Storage: Needs to freeze well or can be in the fridge for a week. Only have enough space for a mini fridge that has a separate freezer and fridge area like this

Dietary restrictions/allergy: No Dairy (Light cheese okay but no cow's milk, creams, cottage cheese, etc.)

Type of meals: All recipe types appreciated

Appliances available: 2q air fryer, microwave, electric kettle, 2q crockpot, stove, oven

Budget: Ideally, weekly groceries won't exceed $100/week and will be closer to $50-75 hopefully.

Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing some favorite recipes!

Difficult dynamics while home

So for some vague context and details.

My long-term partner and I come to their grandparents' house when we are on break from university. This summer has been the longest amount of time we have been here together.

Their aunt also lives here as a house caretaker and assists her grandparents in maintaining the rather large house. My partner's grandparents are like their parents and agree with us on the behavior of their aunt.

Since being here, I haven't had a job because it's far from our uni town, so I've been more helpful to my in-laws by helping with cleaning, making meals, and more. In the process, I have moved some things around to accommodate both me working in the kitchen and shared areas, as well as limited mobility for my in-laws.

The issue is, their aunt seems to almost be resource-guarding her grandparents. She talks shit about me to them, stating that I move things around and assume ALL the responsibility, leaving passive-aggressive notes, muttering under her breath, hiding away, and more towards us. Everything I do is checked with and approved by her grandparents. And this goes primarily for very small things like the way the dish racks are set up.

I'm not very familiar with her behavior like this, but my partner and in-laws say that she is very childish and that she tries to manipulate. Which works with my in-laws. I've pointed out that her attitude and behavior create a hostile living environment that mimics the abuse I once lived in at my mother's house. My in-laws want me to stay around while we aren't in school, as I've been a great deal of help to them while their daughter is working constantly. My partner is unsure how to get her to stop and her grandparent's tactic is to "Just ignore it" because they aren't sure either; however, I've expressed that I won't condition myself to abuse and manipulation by a grown woman.

My in-laws understand why I don't want to be here but don't know what to say to their daughter to get to stop being childish, possessive, and controlling over the order of the house. So my question is, any advice on what to say?

Saturn SL2 2000 - Leak

Hi everyone!

I posted probably about a week or two ago about just being young and unknowledgable about my Saturn leaking and trying to get some help.

I was able to get under my car and take a video and I still feel confident that it's my plug for my oil pan, as long as that's what im looking as which I'm pretty sure it is. I made sure the plug was as tight as possible so it's not loose.

Anyways, I had it replaced about a month ago and it's still continuing to leak.

New problem!

My AC isn't blowing cool air (At least cool enough to be noticeable for AZ) and it looks like my coolant dropped significantly even though I refilled it. And the fluid leaking is 100% oil colored so I don't think it's my coolant leaking. But about 2 years ago my radiator cracked and I needed it replaced with a salvaged part from another Saturn (yay old cars). I also ran down to auto zone and replaced my filter (I was due for it anyway) but it didn't help after running the car for a bit.

Anyways, I attached the video of under my car and just need any insights if I should just live with the leak and forget about parking on clear cement or if it's fixable?

I love the Saturn community and thank yall for all the help!

Fuel Changes Impact On Older Cars

Hi everyone!

This subreddit has been so helpful to me, and I'm so thankful. So I'm coming back with more questions! Since I simply and honestly don't know anything about cars, but love my Saturn (2000 SL2).

With the way gas prices/quality have changed, where the E15 (15% ethanol) blend is coming out.

How does it affect the older Saturns? Since I know it's not meant to be used with older cars

How do I find what places DON'T have this fuel blend? I want to protect my car for as long as possible, as at 26, she still has less than 100k.

Should I use 89? I know the area I'm in doesn't have the space to accommodate the 85 and 87, does that mean they'll just switch them?

I appreciate the help <3

Financial Aid Summer Hours & Scholarship Reinstatement

Morning everyone

Does anyone know the Financial Aid Summer hours? I can't seem to find updated info.

Additionally, does anyone know/have you have done the scholarship reinstatement process for extenuating circumstances? What was the process like? Did you do it as soon as you returned to NAU, or did you wait to do it?

Saturn SL2 2000 leak

Hi!

Just a girl in her early 20s with her 2000's car from highschool trying to fix it. Anyways, my car has been leaking lightly for the last like 2 years and I've dropped to much money at mechanics to fix it and it not being fixed. If I have a combination of YouTube and reddit I feel confident in basic car repairs, I've done some minor work for it myself but just cosmetic or routine maintenance.

My most recent theory?

The oil plug leaking, but after changing it out it's still leaking nearby and it appears to be coming from above. I'm going to the store to get the materials to lift my car up to get under and look more at it. (Any tips to be extra safe are appreciated)

Next best guess?

The sealant of the oil pan, but either I can't see it or the Saturn model doesn't have an oil pan like that.

Any issues others have faced or any tips to resolve is very helpful.

Not sure where to put this within Reddit, but here we go!

I’m a current junior (20, almost 21 F)in college looking for a non–fast-food summer job outside my college town. I have experience in adult shelter services (case management and shelter support), so working with challenging populations doesn’t really intimidate me.

I have an interview for a Teen Specialist position at a Boys & Girls Club in a rural town. The job description has been pretty vague, and I’m not sure what the day-to-day looks like or what kinds of challenges to expect if I get the job.

I also did school yearbook photography for a few months with elementary students, so I have some experience working with kids in that kind of setting.

;
Please ask any questions to get more info, any advice is greatly appreciated.
