There are two main ways to publish a book: self-publishing and traditional publishing. I know about Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), as it is a popular choice for self-publishing. However, I would like to learn about the requirements for both methods of publishing.

For self-publishing, I want to know about the requirements for platforms such as Kindle Direct Publishing, including formatting, cover design, file types, copyright, pricing, and other necessary requirements.

For traditional publishing, I want to know how the submission process works, whether I need a literary agent, what publishers look for, and what requirements I need to meet before submitting my manuscript.

Regarding chapters and POV, I would like to know whether it is okay to switch between different characters' points of view by clearly naming the character whose POV is being used. I would also like to know whether switching POVs up to three times in a 13-page chapter is acceptable.

I’m having a problem with the image quality of my webtoon after uploading it to WEBTOON Canvas.

I draw on a very large canvas in Krita: 3000 × 40,000 px at 350 DPI. When I view my artwork at 100% zoom in Krita, the line art looks extremely crisp.

After I resize the finished image to the required WEBTOON size and save it, I can open that resized file and view it at 100% zoom, and it still looks perfectly crisp.

However, after I upload the exact same resized image to WEBTOON Canvas, it looks noticeably different and less crisp. It is not exactly blurry, but the lines look softer compared with the original file. When I compare it to other webtoons on the platform, their artwork looks much crisper.

Here is the strange part: if I set my browser zoom to 85%, the uploaded WEBTOON image looks almost exactly like the image does at 100% zoom in Krita and in the saved resized file. At 100% browser zoom, however, it looks different and softer.

Why does this happen? Is WEBTOON resizing or processing my image after upload? What export/resizing workflow do experienced WEBTOON creators use to keep their line art as crisp as possible?

I would especially appreciate advice from experienced artists who actively publish high-quality webtoons on WEBTOON Canvas. I use Krita.
