Reading steppenwolf, and I can’t believe Hesse came up with the tomboy mother gf in 1927. A true innovator I wish I could show him how his ideas have finally become mainstream.
I’ve mainly been playing this game for the combat, with the city building to the side as a fun way to visually see the loot I’ve gained. I’ve played human only mostly but sometimes with the man-eating elves. So far I’ve learned:
* Spears are good for defense, Falx are good for offense. Hammers are a little worse than falx and
Spears are a little worse than short swords.
* Training matters the most for bows. They are practically useless below 50 percent bow experience.
* Charging doesn’t do much on infantry, but is the way to go on cavalry with repeated cycle charges to avoid losing men.
* The Sanctuary races are a cheat code basically and can easily beat jaw dropping odds. 1:50 at least, probably more with more equipment and training. The only way I could think of beating them is archer spam.
* Armor is pretty self explanatory.
* Baiting one unit away from the rest and surrounding it while cycle charging is highly effective and lets you cheese giant battles.
* Don’t be intimidated by large sizes, the AI likes to train dogshit regional divisions in large quantities.
* Mecenaries are actually pretty accurate in this game, being highly effective just like real life.
* when surrounding one unit with two or more keep the unit being targeted on guard mode and the unit not being targeted off. This will result in more kills and a faster morale break.
I understand there’s more of an emphasis on training and equipment than something like total war since the core of the game is city building, but I hope this helps someone. If I got something wrong be sure to correct me, as I’m basing this off feels mostly.

Whether armor values affect speed,
A good way for taking down sanctuary races, because I assume the AI can use them, and I have nothing really to combat it.
Started on 30mg of Vyvanse today, took it at about 10am. Managed to finish everything and more I had planned for the day. Also I somehow managed to get everything done early, and took the first nap I’ve ever taken on in my life (excluding planes). Never ever felt so focused and that my mind was so quiet. Didn’t really feel any negative side effects, really felt like I was still me. If you’re on the fence about getting medicated I suggest trying it.
Does it work? I’m getting desperate.

I was running out of food, but then defeated a bandit (incredibly hard battle) got the reward money, used the money to buy mercenaries to invade and enslave my neighbor because I needed more food than I had.Immediately had to sell the slaves, as they nuked public order.
I keep doing this over and over. I can’t stop because otherwise I’ll run out of money to buy shit to feed my people. Everyone hates me and wants to invade me because I’ve looted and enslaved every single city I’ve taken. I can’t even make a proper empire because they’ll revolt too fast.
How do I put an end to this? Is there an end? Please advise.

I’ve been using Qubes OS as a permanent privacy distro solution but it’s been very annoying to do anything at all (downloading firmware/ opening a browser, etc). I decided that for **Me personally** the hassle isn’t worth the improved security. Is there another distro out there which I can slap on my machine that also focuses on persistent privacy?

It’s about turn 115 and I’ve been constantly breaking doom stacks with schiltrom spear levy cheese combined with sending out knights on crazy general assassination missions. I think I’ve taken out about 5 or 6 full stacks of horseflesh from the walls of Jerusalem. I also have unlocked pikeman (but no gunpowder) which I’ve been using to impale these bony bastards. When do the mongols get out of horde mode and start acting like a normal faction?
I genuinely thought it was some sort of final boss, I was down to like 10 ball bearings at the end lol.
