My pairing for tonight! Holidays are for enjoying
Let me know what you think fellow cigar lovers!
Please tell me I havent bought a fake vest in an online bid
Davidoff 6000 today
My choice for a beach cocktail day, and also one of my all time favourite cigars!
“Cohiba Espléndidos” time
Superb cigar, with many different notes such as vanilla, cinnamon, cedar…
Hand-crafted in the iconic Churchill 178mm x47.
Designed for a long,leisurely smoke of about 1 h 15 min.
Great? Sure, Iconic? Sure, Worth it? I don’t think so, I know “Habanos” have been rising their prices for years due to demand excess but still won’t justify its price. There are way many better options out there for less than the 135 euros I paid for the “Espléndidos” per unit( for example Henry Clay War Hawk Churchill)
Custom of the day
Gibson Custom Shop SG Les Paul Custom Reissue Aged White VOS
1992 Must de Cartier Santos Frames and a nice afternoon.
Happy week!
My 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom has aged this way. The original Natural finish has developed a rich amber honey patina over the decades.
The lacquer has mellowed gracefully, the hardware shows honest vintage wear, and the guitar retains the kind of character that only comes from nearly fifty years of natural aging. Overall, it has matured exceptionally well and has a very authentic vintage look. However, what do you think?
Young Danny Kirwan impressed by Clapton’s playing (?)
1 st pic: Cream playing at the Marquee Club, 27 th september 1966
2 nd pic: Kirwan and his band Boilerhouse playing live at the Marquee, date unknown ( probably prior to 1967 due to his kid features)
With these two pics, and knowing Kirwan played there with his band prior to FM, and loved the blues in a period where Clapton was its biggest figure in Britain, I would not be surprised this was a young Danny.
I don’t know if I am the first person to point this out but if it is him, I would be extremely happy considering both of them are among my favourite players of all time. Let me know what you think!
After a first post of straight up hate for posting some gibson at the gibson subreddit, here I come again… Gibson Custom Shop Standard Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue VOS Faded Tobacco NH ( my fav LP at the moment)
Who cares about the weight when you can just blast a raw solo with no pedals?
First ever gig with my british blues band as a 20yo player, the choices for tonight:
Let me know what you think!
