Is This Good Beginner's Cartridge Shaving Kit?

Is This Good Beginner's Cartridge Shaving Kit?

I’ve been using a tr*mmer for years and finally decided to try a proper razor. Someone suggested starting with a c*rtridge razor first and then moving to a safety razor later.

Here’s what I got:

- BSC Sensei Smart 3

- BSC Charcoal Shaving Foam

- Old Spice Original Aftershave

Total cost: around ₹260

I’ve done about 10 shaves with this setup over the last month (usually 2 shaves a week).

A few questions:

When is a good time to switch to a safety razor?

What’s a solid beginner-friendly safety razor to start with?

Is anything missing from this kit, or is it good enough?

Thanks in advance for any advice! ✌️

Just finished my portfolio. What would you change?

Hi Indian Designers,

After a lot of iterations, I finally finished my UI/UX portfolio. I know it's probably not perfect, so I'm hoping to get some fresh eyes on it before I start applying for internships and junior Product Designer roles.

Portfolio: https://sahilhalbe.framer.website/

I'd appreciate feedback on anything you notice, but especially:

  • Overall look and feel
  • Navigation
  • Readability
  • Any obvious red flags

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks for taking the time!

Portfolio Review for a UI/UX & Product Designer

Hey everyone,

I recently completed my UI/UX portfolio and I'm getting ready to apply for internships and junior product design roles. I'd love to hear some honest feedback from people working in the industry.

Portfolio: https://sahilhalbe.framer.website/

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

• First impression
• Visual design
• Case studies
• Navigation and user experience
• Whether it's ready for internships and junior roles

Feel free to be honest. I'd rather improve it now than regret it later.

Thanks!

[Portfolio Review] Finished my UI/UX portfolio. Looking for feedback.

Hey everyone,

I recently finished building my portfolio after spending the last few months learning UI/UX and Product Design. Before I start applying for internships and junior roles, I'd really appreciate some honest feedback from experienced designers.

Portfolio: https://sahilhalbe.framer.website/

A few things I'd especially like feedback on:

  • First impression
  • Visual design & overall polish
  • Case studies and storytelling
  • If it feels strong enough for internships & junior product roles

Please be brutally honest. I'd rather fix issues now than keep making the same mistakes while applying.

Thanks in advance!

Finally completed the series.

15 days... I binged the entire series in just 15 days.

The finale was a bit underwhelming and predictable, but frankly, I didn't see that ending coming. Dexter running away is not exactly what I thought would happen.

And why the f did Dex have to kill Deb? And dump her body in the ocean? The same place where all his victims ended up. That part pissed me off.

Also, the plot armor Dexter got after Season 3 was insane. There were atleast a dozen situations where he should've been caught, but somehow wasn't. It got really obvious.

The show also felt different after Season 3. They kept adding unnecessary side stories to the main plot I didn't really care about. Dexter himself changed after that point... sloppier, distracted, mentally foggy, and a lot dumber.

That said, I got completely addicted to the show past few days. The screenplay, characterization, dialogue, performances, and cinematography were all excellent! But after a certain point, the story became obvious, predictable, and repetitive. Most of that applies to S4 to S8, and Season 8 was easily the slowest.

Overall, I really enjoyed the series but I don't want to watch New Blood or Resurrection for a long, long time now...

Tighee Movie Review

Watched Tighee today and honestly, this is the kind of movie you finish and keep thinking about later. It quietly stays with you. Definitely made a place in my heart.

The acting, emotions, dialogues, everything felt natural. This is the type of Marathi movie I want more people to talk about. Full emotional drama without trying too hard.

First half was a little slow at places, but second half was really good and much better paced. There’s no huge “plot twist” type story here, it’s just good writing and strong characters carrying the movie.

Also, Hemalata’s step might feel too extreme for some people, but as a mother in that situation, her reaction honestly felt believable to me. Swati and Sarika’s stories were also handled nicely without dragging the movie away from the main story.

One thing I felt... movies like this mostly end up as good emotional entertainment for audiences like us. The people who actually need to understand the social side of it probably won’t even watch these films.

Still, for a family weekend watch, this is a solid movie.

2 hours well spent for me.
7.8/10. Would definitely recommend watching once.

I retired a long time ago, and recently I donated all my money to India. It’s already ranked #1 in wealth, so I just added a little more to it.

Rather than letting my resources sit idle, I felt it was better to put them to good use.

Peace ✌️
