Moving to Ljubljana for my Master’s at the University of Ljubljana, what should I know?
Hey everyone! I’m 19M and moving to Ljubljana soon to start my Master’s at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, and I’m currently in that exciting but slightly confused stage of figuring out what life there is actually going to be like.
I’ve never lived in Slovenia before, so I’d love to hear from people who actually live in Ljubljana especially students.
What are the best cafes for studying, places to eat, nice spots to walk, things to do on weekends, or little places around the city that I absolutely shouldn’t miss?
I’m also hoping to meet some people once I arrive, especially other students. I’m into coffee, mountains, photography, travelling, movies, music, fitness and spontaneous little trips. I’m much more of a “grab a coffee and walk around the city for hours” person than a club every weekend type.
Since I’ll be starting university in a completely new country, it would be nice to gradually meet some good people and hopefully make a few genuine, long term friendships along the way.
So Ljubljana people, what’s one thing you’d tell someone moving here for university?
And if you’re studying at the University of Ljubljana, I’d especially love to hear what student life is like and what you wish you knew before starting.
Already looking forward to calling Ljubljana home. :)
