Venting.

So guys hi , I'm 19 m having retinal blood vessel inflammation problem . So basically life doesn't feel like living it all feel like a survival run on prednisolone pills. The problem seems aggressive and hasn't been improved with pred and doctors have said to come after 1 month and seems to change the treatment if I don't respond well. How do you live a normal life with this problem , also unfortunately my best corrected visual acuity in the affected eye is 6/24 with metamorphopsia (distorted/warped vision) so i basically can't use the affected to read if I try I will end up with headache so I'm jus surviving and crippling in fear about my other eye. It all happened unexpectedly and I didn't know that I will be worrying about eyesight ever in my life it is 2:47 am now Here in India. So how do I live a normal life without trembling about the flare ups I'm so grateful for the vision I'm left with but equivalently I also concern about my other eye which actually helps me on everyday task now else I'm actually done for.i was studying in uni but I'd taken a drop year suggestively to treat my vision first which I don't have bit of confidence that it will improve . How do you live a normal life having a sense lesser than others ? How to escape this reality ? . I have came across many post where many of our guys has this 5+ years damn this problem is so so concerning. I couldn't sleep nowadays I have a possibility of losing my quality of life which actually occured to an extent also fear I might actually lose total ability to read , I need this ability cause I have to graduate yet and I can't adapt to screen readers like software. so far through this journey I'm mentally f*cked up . and I'm the class topper , so I feel like I'm nerfed in a very brutal way . This is such a mess even though there are lot of support there doesn't seem to an escape ,sometimes don't feel like it and wanna end it all. so yea wad living a greater life doing coding building projects , watching series but nowadays simply lost interest in doing so , I'm unable accept this life mainly due to my age and what I'm currently doing. If this problem had a bit later in my life like some 50 or 60 I wouldn't even complain about it. people of my age enjoy their lives while I wait on opd for my doc visit. I feel this downhill of my life is so so personal I simply don't wanna live anymore but I won't end myself yet this life seem is top absurd. so that's all about the vent. sorry for posting frequently. thank you

How do you survive going functionally monocular during university time?

So hi I'm 19 m , I recently become functionally monocular due to uveitic complications so therefore my binocular vision is just straining . The main problem is I skipped 1 month of university because of the above stated condition. I feel isolated and different now so it is a bit challenging life than I had before when I was good . So how can I overcome this challenging life and adapt with my new normal ? Anybody here has my same experience how do u get along with friends again I feel too different now .also I was at home from jun 5 and still Here . Yesterday went to uni to discuss regarding my absence so the positive part is the staffs seems supportive tho . I don't wanna skip uni but it also feels challenging to face a loss of sense . Now I'm at home to avail some of my medications then I'm deciding to board to my uni to pursue my studies coz I don't feel like skipping an important part and I only have 2 years left so I guess I can overcome it. So Anybody who become monocular or was monocular during your university time could you share your experience on how did you tackle them coz you know its jus crazy but i still feel grateful of what i have yet i dont feel complete with this life. I was watching series before (when i dont had these condition) happily but nowadays i dont feel like doing anything tho i just bedrot all day and sometimes i go thru mental breakdown so thats y im venting here. Thank you...

I can't take it anymore 😭 . Fear of losing my vision forever.

Hi guys I'm 19 M from India. I'm suffering from retinal vasculitis . In recent times my vision got worse in affected eye . Life was so good I.e before the retinal vasculitis after this thing my life changed upside down my vision went downhill... many pills , frequent blood rest, no remission or assurance . I'm a bright student , I had a good future ahead this diagnosis turned my life upside down I'm only going to too many hospitals here and there . I feel hopeless now, I jus wanted to end it all but I failed I tried self strangulation today but all it did was pain to my neck. I fear that I'll lose my eyesight . This disease changed my life forever . It changed my parents it killed their happiness and mines.nothing seems interesting anymore. Only thing which can make me calm is ending myself. I'm sorry if I'm sounding depressed. I just wanted to get it of my chest. Each and each every day feels like bad day.i don't know what is my life anymore. I'm unable to live this life.

How to handle long hours infront of laptop using only one eye ?

Hi guys , I have metamorphopsia and blurry vision in my affected eye due to retinal vasculitis which affects my binocular vision. So I started to work by patching that eye. But unfortunately I felt headache by using this method. Is there any way to overcome headache ? Since I can't work with binocular vision (metamorphopsia, double vision) . Anybody here only working with one eye , sharing your experience will be a great thing for me. Thank you!!

Tips working with laptop.

Hi guys I'm 19 M due to some retinal complications in my left eye I have metamorphopsia and poor vision ,basically lack of proper vision in that eye. So today I tried patching the affected eye and to work. When I'm into working on laptop using one eye I faced headache along with sweating . I'm confused if it is due to working only with one eye or warmer environment. Is there any ways to avoid headaches working with only one eye. Sadly I can't work without patching my brain doesn't able to overcome the metamorphopsia. I'm struggling either way now.

Guys is this a common thing ? that using one eye could cause headache . Coz im trying to join a software related work things are already hard for me . can I get adapted through the times ?.

Please share your opinion friends.Thank you!

Any opinion guys , as per retina doc my edema is resolving the main concern is im a to be IT guy so it is hard working with distortion any hope for good prognosis ? Also im having retinal vasculitis.

u/IndustryFar3816 — 28 days ago

Possible Underlying causes for retinal vasculitis.

ACE - 12
HIV , RPR - Non reactive
TB Quantiferon - 1.200 (Positive)
Mantoux - 15mm (Positive)
According to FFA it seems granulomatic .

Guys i have started on ATT on empirical diagnosis to rule out presumed TB. I also have taken CE CT , XRAY , CT Abdomen , USG guided FNAC all of these came out as normal . also im currently on prednisolone 60 mg i got a flare once ( june 25 sudden blur which i last had on may 19 it gone with my 1st injection doc didnt state what it is possibly an anti-vegf).

I dont know if i have autoimmune disease can anyone please help how to identify autoimmune markers are there any test to diagnose autoimmune disease.

Feeling sad about losing my reading vision at 19 (macular edema and retinal vasculitis).

Hi i'm 19M , In recent times i have been diagnosed with retinal vasculitis treating it with ATT (empirical diagnosis from several tests) maybe autoimmune cause too but doctors need to rule out infectious etiologies first for safer treatment process. due to this condition i find it really really difficult to read , see faces and the vision in that eye is feeling like everything i see through that is not real , like things feel bent and i cant even read text in phone due to macular involvement , i have a PRP coming up next week . Also im a CS major i feel like things are just over for me like life just become total upside down getting this at this age feels so overwhelming I have no one to share my feelings . what im going through each and every day feels like a bad day for me thinking of old days makes it much worser . Feels like there is no Hope for me to recover from this condition.

Also I need tips to live with what is left please help guys .
