Waxed Essex

Waxed Essex

Glad I grabbed these during the holidays. I didn’t need any more boots, with a handful of pairs already and a few on the way from another, mildly slower bootmaker. But I hadn’t seen this leather before and thought I should jump on it especially when they went on sale. Super cool boots. I have other boots on the 55 and it’s neat to see how much a difference the leather makes in how they feel. I think they’re lookers as well

Just in time for 90 degree weather

I couldn’t pass up the sale and additional discount on the website. Grabbed this Bad Larry for $400. Going to try to forget I have it until cold weather hits and surprise myself

Steering wheel pics are cool

For a lot of folks, the most unintentional glimpse they get of their watch is when their hand is on the wheel. So it’s a really relatable view and gives others a really good sense of how the watch wears. I don’t like it very much when it seems like the point of the picture is to show off a fancy car, but even then, hey why not? They like their car and they like their watch. That’s nice for them.

Mind those fire pits boys

Guess I was warming up a little too much after work the other day and I went and melted the sole on my left boot. Feel like a real dummy 😕

Seeing so much love for these- is it common to see this happen after a discontinuation?

I’m really pleased with my 58 Blue, so it doesn’t surprise me that so many other folks are scooping them up. But for those who have been in the scene for a while- is this a common occurrence? Just seems like there’s a really high demand for these watches still, but to be fair this IS a Tudor subreddit so maybe it’s more that than anything
