Is femboy a style or an identity?

I make this question because I saw a lot of people claiming both. I am honestly more inclined to believe that it's closer to an identity than a style. Because a man can wear feminine clothes and makeup and not be considered a femboy. The only difference between these type of man and femboys, is that femboys **identify** themselves as femboys, and that means that being a femboy is not just about what you wear, but about **being a man who wants to be perceived as feminine**.

Like bro... I understand the point of the people who say that it's a style, but there's not a single other style in the world that brings people to start taking £str0gen. And again, that has inherently nothing to do with being trans, egg culture sucks.

Anyways... I think we as a community do not distinguish enough the people who are just into this as a kind of crossdressing and people who have this as part of their self-identity...

Maybe I am inventing a discussion that doesn't exist, or I am just confused about a topic everyone has resolved themselves in... I don't know... I'd like to hear your opinions... What do you think?

I am the only one who feels kinda bad seeing so many people shitting on the "Amazon Basics Femboy" style?

You see... I have been a femboy for some time now, but my financial condition doesn't really allow me to buy anything expensive or try out any new style (no, I am not proving feminine clothes in clothes shops in my fucking town where everyone knows each other and my life can get ruined by simply finding someone in the wrong time), so I have sticked with my tigh highs, my necklace and my hoodie to have the only feminine style I can wear (I posted it here if you are curious)

However... It seems like there is a crescent wave of people in Twitter and Streamers communities who absolutely shit on the "Amazon basics" femboy style.... And that makes me kinda sad.

Cause like... Being a femboy has a lot of correlation with finding a style that fits you and makes you feel comfortable wearing it, it's expected that a lot of boys in this community are still experimenting their styles and trying to find something that makes them have some self esteem (especially considering some inhuman standards we sometimes create). So... I get really sad when I see people expressing their disappointment with Amazon basics femboys... Because I feel it kind of breaks the reason why femboys even exist... Like, the Amazon basics style does not reduce people's creativity, femboys who dress differently are not being criticised by it or something like that... The idea of dressing and acting feminine is not being destroyed by Amazon basics, so why care????

The generic style is already pretty alternative for society's standards and it seems like some people want us to be MORE alternative. Like ahhhhh! Goddammit! Isn't this enough? I am not trying to create an artistic movement, bitch! I just wanna dress cute and feel accepted! And I don't even want to remain on the basics forever, I would love to dress like a fucking femboy vampire if I could, but I just can't!

I always feel like these people complaining are a bit too much chronically online... But idk... Maybe I am just too insecure about myself... What are your takes on this?
