When a channel is playing, it will go black for 2 seconds then starts playing again.
I've tried settings buffer size to large, turning AFR on and off switching between MPEG-TS and HLS but nothing works.
Happens on different providers so it isn't the provider and it is not my network. I'm using Ethernet with 2gbps from my ISP.
Anything else that I can check?
I've always used kodi as my frontend so my jellyfin database has always been small. In the last few weeks I've really started to use allot of the features, like trickplay, intro skipper, extract subtitles etc.
My databases has went from around 5GB to 33GB, this would be a disaster if the database fails.
I'm thinking I may move some data like trickplay into the actual media folders. But my media lives on HDDs so not sure if that will have a performance impact?
How large is your database?
I am using Wholphin and the official app, both have this issue. Whenever I play a movie it will play for 7 seconds then I'll get the spinning circle, if left alone after about a minute it will play just fine, even if I stop and play it 10 times for whatever reason it just the first play. The video is NOT transcoding but it is remuxing. Subtitles are embedded SRT codecs.
This is not a network issue as I am using ethernet, only happens on the Shield TV when using ExoPlayer. If i turn subtitles off it will play with no issues, but i like to have subtitles.
If i switch to MPV it plays with no issues but I loose HDR, if I use the TVs Google TV once again no issues.
It is specifically the shield TV and subtitles.
The show and folder structure and titles all match, they are exactly the same only difference is that season 1 and 2 are on separate drives, when Jellyfin scans the show it shows up as two different entries of the exact same show.
Now I'm not looking for recommendations why this setup is wrong or I should do X to fix the structure. I'm just wondering if there is a way to get Jellyfin to see the seasons on different drives as one show?

I am wondering is there a way to set the video from Monitored (green) to Unmonitored (grey) after the video has been imported into the library?
I would also be okay if the movie is automatically deleted from radarr after a successful import.
Reason being I modified one of my files by embedding subtitles only for radarr to replace it with the original download.
I know this is a feature request that's being worked on but does anyone have any workarounds for this?
If not I'll be happy if i can request from seerr to sonarr so that it only downloads current and future episodes rather than the entire season.
I rarely will want to download an entire season.
I'm trying to decide between the Q75H and Samsung Q600F.
I have a TCL TV I do like the idea of controlling it from the TV and not relying on an app or remote. Most of the reported issues look to be resolved with FW 47, it has airplay and Bluetooth 5. RTHING review of the Q85H is good, based on everything I could find the Q75H/Q85H are identical in construction besides rear speakers and probably software. So i hope they perform similar within its specs.
While the Q600F seems to be extremely well received but has no wifi or and older Bluetooth and is 3.1.2.
Price wise they are the same.
I have a few movies in HDR and non HDR formats, but they show up separately in jellyfin, I know i can group them but as far as i understand i should not have to do this.

I'm starting to convert my entire old divx/mpeg4 collection to h264, these are mostly old 720P or lower quality files, so would like to keep as much quaility as i can.
I'm using crf 18 using the built in ffmpeg in Jellyfin, is this recommend to keep the most quality?

I have this strange problem in which if i turn on my exterior potlghts whatever frequency it generates blocks some of my OTA channels. These lights go across the entire roof line and are close enough to the Antenna to cause conflict.
I'm not interested in moving the antenna or messing with the lights, so please do not suggest anything related to changing my setup. Unless there is some filter to clean up the conflict?
What i would like is to setup an automation that will 'Turn OFF the lights if the HDHOMERUN tuner is in use'
any suggestions?
Let me say I have been using moonlight for many years with a Shield TV and it still works great, I recently bought a new TV and installed moonlight on its Google TV but having trouble with the resolution.
I use VDD so whenever I switch to a phone or tablet I get the native screen resolution, on the shield/phone if i switch to 1080P, 1440P or 4K in the moonlight settings then Windows changes to that resolution. However this does not work on TCL TV it just stays at a fixed resolution regardless of what's set in moonlight.
Anyone run into this?

I have a QM8K running Android 14 and Q75H on the latest firmware 47.21.40 but cannot get the tutti option to show on anything input or app.
I have yet to sign into the TCL home app on the TV, but as far as i can tell that skype not be needed.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I would like to setup a few IP Address so they do not require logging in but do not want to login as an admin.
When i use ^<ip address> it logs in as an admin, any way around this?
I just wanted Projectivity launcher to work as the default launcher without disabling the stock Google TV launcher, as that disables casting as well. After turning on accessibility settings for PL a reboot would turn them off which meant it would not auto load.
Only issue I have is that when i power on the TV from standby it shows the stock launcher for a few seconds.
Anyone know how to fix that?
I already use the defaults and easylist but would like one specific for smart tvs, TCL, Hisense etc.
If you use ADB TV to debloat, do the apps come back after firmware update? If so what about disabling instead?
I just want to get rid of some useless TCL apps that I'll never use or at the very least disable them.

Just starting out with Frigate and by default it uses the standard rtsp path, when should i choose the standard rtsp vs the restream?
What happens if rtsp path 127.0.0.1 is used but preset-rtsp-restream args isn's added?
