Why did the moms continuously have children with almost every man they dated?

I was rewatching old episodes from tmog, tm2, and tmyp. Something that confused me is that a lot of the moms would move on really fast to a new man and then have a child with that new person. I completely understand wanting to date and not be alone but why not just date and focus on the child that you already have?

Kail got pregnant while she was still married to Javi
Jenelle got pregnant twice (had an abortion for one) while she didn’t even have custody of Jace
Kaylah now has four children by three different fathers. She got pregnant with the third one when she had just broken up with Luke
Brianna got pregnant by a guy she met at the club that night
Amber got pregnant with her son when she didn’t even have custody of her daughter

The list goes on and on.

Say what you want about Farrah and cate but at least they didn’t have more than one child with random men.

I just don’t understand how this show was supposed to decrease teen pregnancy, when a lot of the women were just baby making machines. Idk why they never just focused on the children they already had.

Just found out that there is a flat rate to print and also an additional cost per page

I have a job interview that required me to print my resume instead of emailing it to them. I don’t have a printer and the nearest library is a 20 minute drive and I don’t have a car. The interview is located at a shopping center with an ups store next door. I went to go print and they told me that it would be $5 to print plus the additional 29¢ per page. Online they said that you only print per page and that’s it. I wasn’t prepared for this.

I literally am so broke that I can’t even do that. I’m just hoping that during this interview they accept my digital resume.

Met a guy on hinge and I have absolutely no idea what conversation we just had

I met a guy on hinge and we hit it off after speaking for a few days. We exchanged numbers and idk how the conversation even got here. I felt weird about it, so I just decided to end it.

Barbara was absolute torture to live with.

I know that everyone here is a Barbara stan. And I don’t take away anything that she did for Jace. But I was watching some old episodes of TM2 and tbh Barbara just seemed so horrible to live with.

Now don’t get me wrong. Jenelle was and is shitty as well. But the extreme micromanaging, yelling, and emotional outbursts that Barbara had were also terrible.

I will give credit where credit is due. Barbara did amazing with Jace and was there for him when no one else was. But omg I could not have lived with someone like her.

(I’m also aware that this is probably an unpopular opinion)

Is it normal for children living in poverty to live with different people who are not the biological parents?

I am so sorry if I am coming off tone deaf. I also apologize if I am asking this in the wrong sub. But idk where to ask. However I am just trying to understand.

For the last year, I have been working as a counselor at a small, title one/ low income school. (We’re currently on summer break though). Something that I have noticed whenever working with my students is that literally 40% of the students do not live with their paternal parents. (Not Mom or dad). When working with all of my students, they all live with grandparents, auntie, and “boyfriends and girlfriends”.

Ever since I started working here, I have met so many teens that are living with their boyfriend/ girlfriend. Or moved out of their mom’s house to live with their grandmother etc. or some random person in their neighborhood.

I had mentioned this to my supervisor to make sure that I don’t have to make any reports since they’re not actively living with parents. They told me to take note of it but not to do anything else.

But is this normal? I have never ever in my life seen this happen so much until I started working at this school.

Do you think that the Mom’s will be able to keep up with their lifestyle now that the show is canceled?

Obviously Kail and Jenelle haven’t been on the show for a while and have been able to sustain their lifestyles. But for the rest of the cast, do you think that they’ll be able to still live like they were when they were on the show?
