Nothing beats a traditional Rajasthani Thali served on leaf plates! What’s your ultimate comfort food thali?

Treated myself to an authentic Rajasthani thali served completely in traditional pattal (leaf bowls) with a cool clay kulhad drink.

The spread came with hot roties, fresh homemade white butter (safed makhan), spicy garlic chutney, churma, gatte ki sabzi, kadhi, and a bunch of flavorful regional sides. Eating off leaf plates always hits different and somehow makes the food taste 10x better!

For the food lovers here: which regional Indian thali holds the #1 spot for you?

What’s a tiny, quiet habit your kid does that instantly melts your heart?

Don't get me wrong, my house is usually a disaster, evening routines feel like an endurance sport, and my battery is constantly at 10%.

But amidst the everyday madness, my kid has this sweet habit of randomly reaching out to hold onto my pinky finger while we walk, or proudly handing me little "treasures" like a shiny leaf or a cool rock from outside.

When you're running on empty, those little unprompted moments hit differently.

What’s a small, cute, or funny thing your child does out of nowhere that instantly restores your sanity?

Finally tried the Biscoff Bingsu from Snowberry

Stopped by Snowberry and decided to try their Biscoff Bingsu! It’s layered with ultra fluffy shaved ice, drizzled with Biscoff spread, and loaded with crushed biscuits, sliced almonds, and mango popping boba on the side. Easily one of the most satisfying fusion desserts I've had lately! What's your go-to Bingsu flavor? Would love some good recommendations!

After what felt like endless negotiations, my kid actually finished a meal without a single breakdown, and we made it out the door for school 5 minutes early. It sounds so small, but honestly, it felt like winning a gold medal.

What is a small, silly, or minor parenting win you’ve had recently that made you feel like you unlocked a secret cheat code? Let’s share some positive energy today!

Am I crazy for keeping child's education fund on pause until my job shift settles, or should I just force it now?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some realistic perspective from other parents who have gone through this.

I recently started a new job, and while the move was great long term, it completely threw off my usual routine. On top of adjusting to a new workplace, I’ve been taking a hard look at our family finances. I’m finally tracking every expense, building up a proper safety net, and trying to be really disciplined with our savings.

Here’s my dilemma: I feel a massive amount of parent guilt that I haven’t aggressively locked into a dedicated education fund or investment plan for my kid yet. Half of me wants to start a strict monthly SIP right now because compounding takes time. The other half of me feels that keeping extra cash liquid in a high yield savings account or FD until I’m 100% settled in my new job is the safer, smarter cushion for our family.

How did you balance the guilt vs. financial reality of education planning during a career shift?

Made a plate of momos for my kids!

Yesterday my kids wanted something different from usual for their post school supper. Made vegetable and paneer momos (a type of dumpling) with homemade chutney (dip).

Took a few years of making momos to master the wrapping...it still does not look perfect but my kids loved it!
