We’ve been through so much and I have relied so much on you, my people. But tonight is Trooper’s last sunset. He has fought so hard and his resilience has amazed me; as long as he wouldn’t give up, neither would I. But his little body has given out. I will spend every moment of his last day holding him tight. Tomorrow morning my wife will hold him and I will look into his eyes in his final moment. I just had to turn to you one last time. Thank you for all your support and advice these last few months, I really needed you so much. 💔

Ladybird

I’m afraid I’m losing Trooper. He has had a serious heart murmur since we adopted him five years ago (his owner died during the pandemic). We’ve controlled it with meds and he’s had a wonderful second life. But now he’s failing. His heart is seriously enlarged, it affects his breathing. He has developed gastrointestinal issues and that takes meds too. His medication load is so high. I hand feed him, but appetite is diminishing. He still plays, he is still active, but he’s slowing down. The time is coming, but it’s killing me. I adopt elderly chi’s, I’ve been here many times; but Tru has been with me a long time. I don’t need advice, I just needed to reach out to my people. Thank you for letting me get that out.

Local watch repairman is an old man who works out of his basement. Is this a passive aggressive reaction to my Vostok?

Good god I miss this guy. I had to show him off. Adopted at around age 15 I had him for two and a half years. He hated everyone on the planet but he loved me.

Definitely stay on the cheap side when I’m doing chores, but it’s still a great watch.
