Roast beef sourcing question

Roast beef sourcing question

Normally I order #9 with extra meat in So. Calif.

Roast beef at all the JM places have the same type/brand/supplier = very tasty - slightly red center and very fresh!

However, I just came back from No Calif and 2 JM places are way different in roast beef.

They were: salty, dark, gray, and smelled rank.

Is Northern vs Southern California different with respect to meat suppliers ?

401k money available from Fry's ? Any contact info ?

Just retired and Social Security sent me a letter of a "potential private retirement benefit".

Fry's Electronics had reported a 401k valued at $40,000 in my name as of 2005.

The benefit code "A" says it's a single payment of a lump sum.....

Anyone know if this money is still valid and being held by some court or appointee ??

Would be great to cash out this unexpected money !

M1 Studio base looking to upgrade storage - any suggestions ?

Newbie to upgrades question:

M1 Mac Studio base is running out of storage space.

Was originally going to buy a replacement M3/M4 Studio but prices are atrocious.

If I got a 2TB storage from AliExpress for $440USD, can I keep the 512GB base storage along with the 2TB module making it a 2.5TB machine without having to wipe/restore/DFU ?

Does Etsy have an email of their own that I can use for Etsy sellers ?

I don't want to use my personal email on Etsy sales.

2 years in and Etsy is starting to take off.

Is there an Etsy email account that I can buy/subscribe that ends in Etsy.com ?

Trip Report - SAS - LAX-CPH - Business upgrade x2

Just returned from 2 weeks in Europe - visiting Copenhagen, Prague and Berlin.

SAS flight LAX-CPH was very packed - all classes.

Won bidding from Economy light to Business light as highest bidder. Lounge access at Air France was amazing - best food for a lounge I have ever seen - even better than the Centurion lounge. They even make hot dishes in front of you.

SAS flight staff were professional but nothing above & beyond.

On return CPH-LAX, same upgrade won as high bidder #2. Lounge access at SAS Lounge before passport control was in a difficult location because I did not know how long the wait would be in lines. Spent 30 minutes to have a quick lunch. Quality of the SAS lounge was mediocre - almost all vegetarian items but the Carlsberg beer on tap was very good.

SAS flight staff were amazing - very happy, went way above and beyond.

Flight was full and all classes were fully packed.

Overall, SAS did a great job - they are very punctual and strives to be on time.

I'd fly with them again and even gain miles with SAS Eurobonus (my flight miles went into Delta which is my preferred carrier).

CPH exit EU thru EES & lounge question

https://preview.redd.it/l5a0icwz5t4h1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebace2b637abb6cf6c314b8aef71f93c5e6d20dc

What is the current status on passport control at CPH ?
I am flying SAS from Schengen country into CPH and then flying out of CPH 3 hours laters.

Will I have enough time to transition domestic to international thru passport control?

Any time for lounge access (Business) to look forward to?

Is SAS Fastback going to help me transition ?

I ask because last week CPH entry was a mess - long lines for passport control - 75 minutes.

EES kiosks were all off limits - some were red inoperative, others just dead.

Dehydrating Asian plum / apricot (Maesil-cheongmae or Ume) - any tips for first timer ?

Ordered my first real dehydrator - not the multi purpose, toaster oven I had been using with mixed results.

Dehydrating Asian plum/apricot (Prunus Mume) that has been pitted with different flavoring experiment.

Any tips on how much to dehydrate to for it to be shelf stable ?

Nanko Ume dried plum experiments - any suggestions ?

So I have a ton of Ume freshly picked from my trees and instead of the usual Ume pickling & fermentation processes, I wanted to try making healthy dehydrated Ume snacks.

So I dried a batch and looking to season it with flavoring that will offset the super sour fruit.

Looking at Hawaiian Li Hing Mui powder, Chamoy or Tajin seasonings.

Anyone have any suggestion for flavoring sour dried fruit ?

I have a second cellphone (business use) that I bought second hand phone that is locked to TMO network.

Currently using a physical TMO SIM for primary line and would like to travel to Europe for a month.

Is there a way I can utilize either physical or eSIM on my phone for travels thru Europe ?
