only pomni was introduced as such at first. jax got almost the same amount of screentime as ragatha for the first few episodes. why "lie" about an ensemble cast if you just won't let it happen? goose lies for fun, but that "lie" of hers seemed believable. sure, n gets a ton of screentime despite not being the main main character of murder drones, but he was introduced as such from the start, and we know the most about uzi, who is the main main.

pomni doesn't even exist for herself. she exists to further the narrative and for jax. i find it hypocritical how goose says that the show is about learning about all the characters, but pomni is the main character and we know nothing about her. she obviously explored buildings. they all did. we only know she was an accountant. that's it. she lies about "focus episodes", when in the end it's just untrue. in fact, we know more about ribbit and zooble over her. the entire show is just told throughout tumblr and not the actual show. it needed more episodes.

jax doesn't even get development. through the whole show he just abuses everyone and there are no important scenes of him whatsoever. the therapy talks gangle and ragatha had, and caine in episode nine has more devlopment than jax will ever get. the entire finale just comes off as abuse apologia. it doesn't necessarily justify jax's actions but it shoves down your throat that if you don't forgive someone who fucking abuses you, you don't have empathy. the entire finale is just about jax's sad-ass backstory and the cast crying over him, so it just forces you into forgiving him even if you don't want to. it's so clear that goose just wants to feel good about herself through jax.

like kinger, jax, and caine are the only male or male presenting characters in the mc, but they're the most important characters, and all the females usually get sidetracked. jax is obviously important, caine is in charge of the circus, and kinger made the circus. sure, ribbit and pomni are important, but they only exist to be jax's lapdogs. there isn't much more to them.

is he an abusive pos to everyone around him? no. was he introduced as the mc from the start? yes. this is an actual argument i had in a gc.

Jax is literally an abuser, a harasser, a misogynist, and an asshole given what he did to Ribbit, Gangle, Ragatha, Zooble... He knows he's a dick, and yet he doesn't change one bit. And yet, we're supposed to feel bad for him in episode 9?

The fact that Jax is Gooseworx's self-insert makes me think she just wants to "justify" all the mistakes she's made under the guise of "I've suffered too," when that kind of behavior shouldn't be normalized.

No suffering should ever justify another. Plus, considering that apart from the trauma Jax had with his mother, Jax brought all of this on himself, so why feel bad for him then?

bojack crashing out on his mom was valid, especially with how she treated him. know what isn't? hating hollyhock for whatever reason. hollyhock doesn't know shit and is just overly nice to people, and is just a kid. wanna know what is even more valid? bojack getting angry at his mom for doing that to hollyhock.

for me it's def nicole or kylar. jeffery and colby are universally hated most of the time.

jeffery is generic, but i personally hate kylar and nicole. all characters are problematic, but they're more problematic than most of the girls.
