Returning to the gym: isnt agressive cutting more efficient?

Since its far easier to lose fat than it is to gain new lean muscle mass, isnt it better to be more aggressive during the cut and less aggressive during the bulk?

Isnt it that the sooner you finish cutting, the earlier you can return to the bulking phase and regain+gain new mass?

quick edit: no i will not be using any form of steroids

Does anyone understand how pulleys work? If I do this setup, will each handle have half the weight (2:1 ratio)?

Hi, so ive been looking at power racks and many of them have a single lat pulldown like in the video above.

I'm thinking of doing what this person did and adding two handles.

Can someone please let me know if doing this would essentially convert the system from 1:1 to 2:1?

Basically if I load 50lbs, would each handle only have 25lbs like on an actual dual pulley system?

Thanks!

Here are two videos showing this system. [One](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZQ9ez-1zJ0) and [two](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KFUmMxGGXBc)

1 or 2 guide rods? Does it make a difference? Does it matter?

Hi!

To those with lat pulldown machines or power rack pulleys, does the number of guide rods matter?

Is two guide rods better than one guide rod?

I'm still looking around at power racks and a lot of them only have one guide rod... I'm wondering if I should buy one with two guide rods?

Thanks!

Hello, so I'm thinking of buying my first ever power cage with a single pulley system.

So, if I wanted to go from 20 to 22.5 lbs (i have a lot of 2.5plates), would it be okay to add the 2.5 on one side only? I would have 10 on each side, plus 2.5 on one arm.

I would stagger them as I progress from 22.5 to 25 to 27.5 and so on. Please see picture for what I mean.
