Any news on Crucible of Champions? I wanna integrate it into my new upcoming crusade, but can't find anything on it.

For me it looks like they abandoned the idea after announcing it. It im just too blind to find anything useful. Is there anyone who currently runs and uses Crucible of Champions? Im curious how much popular it is?

Looking for a group to play

I don't know how to properly describe what i want to say, but in short: I can't find anyone willing to DM ttrpg games about 40k. Not even in my country. It feels like only few people actually plays, even fewer do it without any hard restrictions and even more so - for free.

I don't know where to ask, because almost everywhere i did find where to post - zero traction.

So here i am. Not a native English speaker but with too much eagerness to play some ttrpg in 40k universe and have some fun with fun people. I can play every saturday till 6pm (GMT+2).

I have d&d experience for 5 years or so, and did play few times in OW and DH(1ed). I like good story and good roleplay and trying to make my character fun and interesting.

Maybe some DM is willing to add me to their group? I would love to play as Tech-Priest but i agree to play as anything else if needed.

If this is not the right place to ask such stuff, please someone give me a direction where to look? I feel lost and lonely :(

A bit confused what to pick for a tech-priest

Context: Im in a Dark Heresy 1ed, with a bit of homebrew but with all the supplements. Currently have 100xp, and already spent 600.

Im torn between two options. On one hand i was building myself up so to make my character heavily focused on INT with Tech-Use. I even started with Cortical implant and MIU (DM allowed to pick one). Also i have 40 WP and THG, and 50 INT but with low BS and WS.

On second hand im pretty curious about everything about Luminen Charge.

Is there any viable path for me to take to he a really god-like tech guy AND have fun/useful stuff regarding everything Luminen?

Or i should just focus on tech-use stuff and forget about fighting at all?

To be fair i built my guy in such a way, to completely forgo battle prowess to be even more useful with everything tech-related.

Maybe there something that scales with INT? Im still learning, so need help.

Modded game, eager for some tips

Me and my two friends started modded game. We decided to go x25 all crisis, and on top of that - modded ones.

We have Gigas.

I took Frame World Ark, my friends took other fun origins, including alderson disk.

My start could never be better. Im rogue servitor, and almost immediately got Sol systems with humans. I took them aboard. All of them. Than i traveled to my Alderson disk friend. Took his "neighbors" from other segments as well.

Second friend got lucky as well, he wanted to play using fauna and he got himself both damaged Yggrldrasil Orchid and black hole with worms nest (which he actually wanted to play with).

Its not like 30 years in, and im rocking work 12k meatbags aboard.

Is there any good tips for nomads to know? I truly love Frame World and playing tall, and being nomad is pure bliss. Im gonna have fun playing with O-class suns, increasing their output, lol.

Im curious anyone tried playing [XHK] World Ark mod? Is there something i should be aware of? Is it good for fighting against x25 crisis? As well as Blockcats?

Any tips for nomads in general to be aware of?

I (m32) don't know for to approach my mother, because she too hard on my (f28) wife.

First time posting here, im sorry if i missed some rules here. Trying my best.

Now i will tell everything, but it may be in different parts, so sorry for the long post, but bear with me:

Me and my wife together for more than 7-8 years, last 5 as married couple. Throughout this time i was almost forced to "include" my mother whenever we moved or traveled somewhere.

Last year we found a place we are currently living, not the best one, but we managed. But since then my wife becoming more upset and sometimes she just cries in my arm. When we talked i discovered that all this time, my mother was to harsh on her. Always talks down on her cooking skills, household chores and so on. Sometimes in pretty open "passive aggressive" way.

Most of the time we both were working but since we moved - its been only me, who still working. Before we did all our household chores together, but since then my wife said she will do all the stuff, since im working and supporting all of them together (including the cat). My wife is still missing our first home, but now it's impossible to get back. Yet all her family is still there. I don't have anyone close except her and my mother. So im trying my best, so they could do what they want. And still all this situation (can't go back, always moving) makes her depression even worse. She understands that this is also hard on me, coming from hard work and take care of my wife and wife as well. But sometimes it gets to her and she begins to cry.

Yeah its hard, but i truly love my wife and i know she loves me back. So im willing to get going and working, just to see her smile as much as possible.

Coming back to last night. My mother went for a night. to my cousin that lives with her own family and kids not too far from us. And me and my wife finally got some time together in private, which is really rare. And we talked almost till the morning. She finally told me about how my mother treats her lately. And she told me that once, while i was away working, she started crying and while on emotions - asked my mother if she more of a burden than of help, which my mother replied "for sure". This did damage.

It's really hard to talk to my mother when i bring issues into the discussion. I know she will always operate with arguments like "im too old", "and what about me?"," if you want me to leave, than leave me. I will be all alone", and similar stuff. Long years ago, my mother met a great guy and they both loved each other. I was 22 at the time. That guy asked my mother to live with him in different city but she declined (me and that guy didn't know why) and not long after they break up. Im pretty sure she will use this as another argument like "i sacrificed for you everything".

And now I'm confused what to do. I don't have enough financial stability to take care of my mother of she will live separately. And i can't just throw her on my cousin's neck. Yet she makes life of my wife miserable and im afraid talking to her won't help much. It will only lead to screaming and tears.

To be fair, because of all our moving - me and my wife never had any normal "honeymoon". We did some time from time living only two of us, but it was never for too long.

TL, DR: I don't know how to approach my mother, so that she stopped making my wife miserable. I feel it will only end in shouting drama and tears on her end.

Joined DH 1ed campaign. DM told me I can play as Xenos

Add more context:
I joined ongoing campagin (that recently started) in Dark Heresy 1ed (with a bit of homebrew rules). Talked to DM about everything, and in short - I'm pretty excited to join.
When we talked about canon and stuff, he mentioned that player's boss - main Inquisitor is pretty radical, so lots of stuff he blatanly ignore for the purpose of the mission.

So much so that sometimes players joins forces with xenos like aeldari, gather info from drukhari and stuff like that.

I mentioned that it would be hilarious if players stumbled upon some lone Necron. He thought for a moment and said to me "If you want to play one, I'm okay with that.".
I will add little fact that I'm a huge fan of necrons, so I can't say no to that.

Actually i planned to play as Tech-priest with as much augments and cybernetics possible sorta like "necron at home" meme.

But since than I can't throw out the idea of actually playing as one. He said that If I want to - I can discuss what sorts of abilities and advancement I could have and stuff like that. So thats why I'm here.

Is there any info? Even homebrew one about playing as Xenos/Necron? Maybe someone already did that, otherwise - if you have any suggestions or ideas, I will gladly read it.

And little question on top:
Any suggestions to play as "Tech-wizard" Tech-priest? I can have two cybernetics at start as well as 500 XP to use.

TLDR:
- I can play as Necron PC in DH1 campaign. DM open to discuss abilities and other stuff. I'm in need of suggestions and ideas :)
- Also as plan B - gonna play as Tech-priest. Hoping to see suggestion how to play as "tech-master-wizard" PC. As campaign not about fighting much.

Noobie here, will soon start my first game

Guys, need help. Im just recently discovered this rpg, and im long dnd player, so im really curious what to expect. Also i love tacticality because i play Warhammer from time to time. So my question is: When i played Anthem i fell in life with Colossus javelin, i love feeling of heavy mech, being the bulwark as impenetrable wall of steel, walking fortress and stuff like that.

Is it possible to achieve this in this game and if yes - could someone tell me what good talents/skills could complement this?

Im currently reading core rule book, but im curious what people with experience could add to my idea :)

Strongest healer build for coop

Need advice. I used yo play healers in rpg, d&d and so on. I know about "action economy" (where beat healing is dead enemy), yet my goal is to create great healer, that just can't let anyone die even in most dire circumstances. Me and my buddy gonna play on hardest difficulty, so we are currently discussing which one is building. Both custom characters (obviously one is RT). I heard about sanctic psyker vanguard-officer, but i don't know if its viable in current patch. My buddy gonna build melee bruiser, so i need good and powerful healer, so that we all will survive.

I wanna try Red Giant with Machine Gestalt. Any tips?

As title says. I truly love playing as machine gestalt, but i never tried Red Giant origin before. So I'm curious, what to expect, what to be ready for and what civics to take with it. Also quick question: I saw a civic that makes my starting planet volcanic. How to build around that?

I don't care about crisis paths, i like big numbers go bigger and brrrr

XSkills: Steel bits, what to do with them?

Basically - title.
I have lots of blister steel bits from all my forging, but there's nothing I can find to do with them.
Placing them in crafting grid in different patterns - does nothing.
Same as trying to put them in bloomery.
And as far as I know - there's no possibility to create fuel for more then 1300C temp. So I will never achieve requred 1600C for smelting.

So...
Maybe I'm missing something? What I can do with it?
Other than converting every 20 bits into ingot via creative mode.

Is remnants + rogue servitor viable to snowball in 4.3?

4.3 feels like all my previous gestalt machine builds are not viable anymore.

Any good suggestions?

Without crisis paths would be great
