Breastfeeding and feelings..

Hi all. Just for context - I am one week PP. I had an emergency C section after a failed induction. We stayed in hospital day 1-4 because they thought I had an infection but it was nothing. I am exclusively BF.

I’m just really not enjoying it and not enjoying waking up and not being able to lift my baby up and just feel absolutely useless. I don’t enjoy breastfeeding but at other times I don’t mind it and it’s nice to have one on one time with baby girl. Sometimes she will sit on my breast for 30 mins, put her down and she starts crying and all I think is ‘oh not again’.. I honestly am considering stopping breastfeeding and switching to formula feeding.

Also my husband sleeps with the next2me on his side of the bed as I can’t lift her up or get out of bed if it’s next to me. However, he falls into a very deep sleep and won’t get up with baby if she’s crying and I have to tap him really hard for him to get up. I’m lucky that I have my mum staying with me atm, so she is so fed helpful. But she is going home after a couple of days and my husband starts work again in one week - and I don’t know how i’m going to cope.

Im so confused how to feel and am constantly crying and I already feel so done

First night with baby - room temperature?!

It’s our first night at home tonight and the room is showing 28.2 degrees on the Groegg. I’m absolutely terrified of SIDs and unable to sleep.. baby is in the next2me in a short sleeve vest.
We have a fan circulating (not directly on her).

Help ?!

Night shifts?

Hi all, my partner and I are expecting our first in a few weeks and we are discussing a sleep schedule so we are both not sleep deprived.

Just for some background, he works 9-5 from home Monday - Friday, but his work are quite chilled and he can be quite flexible (e.g. logging on at 10am). I want to be exclusively breastfeeding for at least the first 3 weeks, after that we will introduce the bottle (1 before bed).

If anyone could please share their experience and advice that would be so helpful!! Thanks! x

Breastfeeding and pumps!

Hi all.
I am due in August and I am planning on combi feeding (breastfeeding and pumping). I have been advised to wait 8-10 weeks to introduce the bottle.
Does anyone have any advice on this? I feel EB will really take it out of me.
Also, please could you recommend a breast pump (stuck between manual and electric)? Can I pump on the other breast whilst baby is on my breast?

Thanks!

Chocolate cravings!

Being 30 weeks pregnant, I am desperately craving a double chocolate chip muffin or a chocolate fudge brownie. Does anyone know where I can buy this readily available at any supermarkets or cafes/franchises?

Me and baby thank you in advance!

Baby clothes essentials?

Hi everyone. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and have now started to sort baby’s clothes out. So far I have:

0-1 size
x4 long sleeve bodysuits
x1 leggings

0-3 months
x12 short sleeve bodysuits
x4 long sleeve sleepsuits

3-6 months
x8 long sleeve bodysuits
x6 long sleeve sleepsuits

What more do I need to buy? Do i need to buy newborn size or is 0-1 months fine?

Baby is due in August, so due to the weather I am unsure what I need to get!

Thank you x

overwhelmed!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and feel really overwhelmed and underprepared!
We have got nursery furniture, next to me crib and some clothes. If anyone has a list of essentials that would be so handy! Also debating what to use for downstairs - moses basket or sleep carrier?

Waking up on my back

Hi all,

I am 27 weeks pregnant and the past few weeks I have found myself waking up on my back. Is there anything that can help avoid this?

Just for context, I have the bbhugme pregnancy pillow but this still doesn’t stop me from rolling onto my back. I don’t always hold onto it when tossing and turning at night.

TIA! x

What are everyone’s vegan favourite biscuits?

I’m not talking about plain digestives or rich teas - something yummy like chocolate digestives or chocolate covered shortbread rounds 🥹
