Koi Mil Gaya (2003)

23 years ago, Koi Mil Gaya came out and Hrithik really gave it his all. This scene is right after Raj and his gang harass Rohit on the basketball court, and he comes home completely broken and then this scene happens. .

It's such a simple scene, but the way Hrithik plays Rohit's helplessness and innocence here is so convincing. Watching this again after so many years, this particular bit still stands out to me.

The AIB guys..

Among the AIB guys, I believe only Rohan Joshi and Tanmay Bhat have shown up in both seasons so far (correct me if I’m wrong). Between the two, who do you think has had the funniest/most memorable moments? Any particular moment that still lives rent-free in your head?

Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006)

Lucky Singh played by Boman, is easily one of the most memorable characters in any Hirani film for me. I'd even put him above Dr. Asthana from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (subjective, of course). The guy was hilarious while being a complete scoundrel at the same time. Absolute gold 🤣

Help!!

What’s happening on Flipkart is this: when I search for a shirt and go into the filters, then narrow it down by fabric, fit, pattern, and so on, the labels seem to be gone. Earlier, each option had a name written under it—like cotton, polyester, linen in Fabric—but now there are only images, and we have to guess which one is which. It is really confusing. The same thing is happening in Pattern too, where instead of clear names, there are just random images of guys wearing different shirts. Anyone else facing the same?

Hanuman Chalisa from VLHTA movie (2003/4)

Does anybody remember this? I guess most of you (or your elders) still listen to this version of the Hanuman Chalisa even today, and I can totally see why. Ajay-Atul, as always, absolutely nailed the composition, and Shankar Mahadevan's powerful vocals are the icing on the cake.

12th Fail (2023)

It's one of those movie climaxes that gets me emotional every single time I watch it. The moment Manoj falls to his knees and breaks down in tears, I can never hold back mine either. Vikrant Massey's performance is truly unforgettable. Celebrating 3 years of 12th Fail.

To all the DMR users..

Next season, I'm thinking of switching things up and running a DMR as my secondary instead of the usual 5.56 spray weapon. I know the game is heavily dominated by the spray meta, and there's a reason people can beam you from almost any range with ARs. But this season, I feel like going a bit old school.

So, which DMR has been the most rewarding for you in terms of consistency, damage, and overall performance?

The Deol Brothers

The way Bobby Deol has evolved as an actor, improving his craft and making better script choices, do you think Sunny Deol could pull off a similar reinvention if he wanted to? Would it lead to the same kind of results? What do y'all think?

Anyone here playing the 4.5 beta? Have you noticed any gun balance changes or Classic mode updates? All I'm seeing on YouTube is that Spider-Man and Naruto nonsense.

Awaara Paagal Deewana (2002)

This is the kind of brain-rot comedy I signed up for. Completely nonsensical, unapologetically dumb, and endlessly entertaining. If you're planning to watch Welcome to the Jungle, I'd genuinely recommend revisiting (or watching for the first time) any of the early 2000s comedy movies instead. 🫡

My review on Young Sheldon

Just finished Young Sheldon, and... I'm still heartbroken over George's death. He was one of my absolute favorites.

Overall, I really enjoyed the show. One thing I loved right from the start was the absence of a laugh track, unlike TBBT. It made the humor feel much more natural. I also preferred the early seasons when the kids were still little, their innocence carried so much of the comedy. As the show progressed, it quietly shifted its focus from Sheldon to the rest of the Cooper family, and honestly, I didn't mind that at all. There was some overly stretched drama here and there (subjective, of course), but overall, I'd even put Young Sheldon above TBBT at times.

Favorite characters

  1. Georgie – Easily the best character development in the show. I initially thought he'd remain the irresponsible older brother, but he gradually became one of the most mature and responsible characters (despite some questionable decisions 😂). By the end, he completely won me over.

  2. George Sr. – Never left my favorites list. Hilarious on the outside but incredibly soft-hearted underneath. Two scenes I'll never forget:

- Comforting Billy after Billy's father left. That scene genuinely made me tear up.

- The tornado episode, where he shields Missy and everything that follows between them. Heartbreaking that he died.

  1. Child Missy – The most adorable little bastard on the show. 😂 She stole almost every scene she was in during the early seasons. The church dance scene where Pastor Jeff tells her to stop and she just keeps dancing is still one of my favorite Missy moments. Teen Missy... I had mixed feelings about.

  2. Meemaw – An absolute scene-stealer. Savage, hilarious, and her chemistry with Dale was comedy gold. The gambling room storyline was probably my favorite of hers.

Least favorite characters

  1. Mary – Her constant need to bring religion into everything really got on my nerves. She also felt heavily biased toward Sheldon while Georgie and especially Missy often got sidelined. She had her good moments, but overall she was my least favorite.

  2. Sheldon – This might get me downvoted. 😅 I know exactly why he's written the way he is, and I felt the same about him in TBBT. He definitely had some sweet moments, but for me, they were outweighed by how selfish and obnoxious he could be. That said, he unintentionally delivered some of the funniest moments in the series.

Characters I don't have much to say about

  1. Mandy – Arrived pretty late, but she definitely helped Georgie grow into a better man.

  2. Pastor Jeff – He existed.

  3. Billy – Mostly comic relief, but he had a few genuinely sweet moments.

  4. Paige – Always felt mysterious. I wish the writers had explored her character more because she had a lot of potential, and her interactions with Sheldon were always entertaining.

Overall, a really solid series that surprised me in the best way. Came for Sheldon, stayed for the Cooper family. ❤️

Horror movie/show recommendations

Hey folks,

I'm an Indian looking for some good Pakistani horror movies or TV shows. I'll figure out later whether they're available here, so don't worry about that part.

What would you recommend? I'm open to both classics and newer releases. Thanks!

Partner (2007)

I wonder how many retakes this scene took because both actors must have burst out laughing at some point lol. This is pure Govinda stealing the scene, just like he does throughout the entire film. His energy in Partner was absolutely infectious and honestly unmatched, which is pretty much what you'd expect from a classic Govinda performance. 🤌

P.S. Yes, I know it's a remake of Hitch — I've seen it.

Little HELP needed..

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to PF in general — my company only introduced it for employees recently (last year), so this is literally my first time dealing with EPFO portals and I'm a bit lost.

Here's my situation: I checked my balance in two different places and I'm getting two completely different results.

First screenshot — this is from the member portal under the "Passbook Lite" section. It clearly shows my April and May contributions along with a closing balance (numbers blurred for privacy, but there's a real figure showing).

Second screenshot — this is from the actual Passbook portal (passbook.epfindia.gov.in). Here, both my Employee Share and Employer Share show ₹0, even though contributions have clearly been made according to the first portal.

A few things I wanted to ask y'all:

  1. What's actually the difference between these two sections (Passbook Lite vs the main Passbook portal)? Are they pulling from different databases or is one just a cached/lite version of the other?

  2. Which one should I treat as the source of truth for my actual balance?

Is it normal for the main Passbook portal to lag this much even after Aadhaar verification, or could something else be wrong on my end?

Really appreciate any help, thanks!

Has anyone watched this shitfest?

I used to get scared watching it as a kid, but revisiting it now, it feels mediocre af, especially after watching the original Hollywood film. The original wasn't great either, but it was still nowhere near as trashy as this. Rishi Kapoor's scenes were the only redeeming factor; the rest was just horrible acting, unnecessary fillers, and dull execution.

Cringiest made-for-kids movie

What's the corniest made-for-kids Bollywood movie you've ever watched that even you, as a kid, didn't enjoy?

Mine would be "Waah life Ho toh Aisi", at least most of the scenes.

Now that the update is out, anyone here running the M4 or other 5.56 guns at mid-to-long range — do you guys notice any difference in damage drop-off, or does nothing feel changed?

Wake Up Sid (2010)

One of my most comforting movies. Such a beautiful film. I wish Supriya Pathak and Ranbir had shared more screen time like this in the movie, I loved their mother-son chemistry. Too bad we don't see such movies anymore in Bollywood
