Help Me Improve by Analyzing a Duel I Lost

So, I've been playing Nobushi exclusively in ranked duels since ranked was introduced. I took a huge break and have recently come back, but I feel like I'm not playing the way I used to and could use some pointers on what I'm doing wrong, any bad habits I might have, or any obvious flaws in my gameplay.

I'm mostly looking for genuine advice, but this is also just for fun, so I edited a duel I lost and included my thought process in the top right to provide some context for what might otherwise seem like very strange decisions.

Bonus tasks:
Guess my current rank, peak rank, or both! Have fun with it, or just laugh at how bad I am, lol.

Giving Build Orders While Paused?

In Conquest, the biggest time waster for me is moving to an engineer unit, then moving to where I want to build, then shift placing structures, then moving to the next engineer and giving them build orders, then finding the AT mine engineers and heavy engineers and giving them orders. By the time everything starts building, I've already used up 10 minutes just giving orders.

Then I have to micro the infantry, split off the MG operators and assistants, place them in pillboxes or foxholes, and make 3 to 4 man squads to put into trenches, etc.

So what I'm wondering is: is it possible to give orders while the game is paused, like in Total War: Warhammer 3? From what I can tell, it isn't. Giving orders while paused seems to null the order and bugs out any follow-up orders to the unit you're issuing commands to.

Is this bugged, or is it working as intended? And are there any mods that fix this or add that functionality?

Any Way to Add Frontline Maps to Conquest?

As the title implies, I like going on defense in Conquest since you get 20 minutes to make proper defenses. But the Conquest maps have almost no baked in defenses like trench lines or bunkers most of the time, which makes attacking and defending pretty boring to me since it's usually just open terrain with tree lines. At least on the Eastern Front, there are very few maps that aren't just 90% open fields with no trenches, with 5% being trenches in the middle of nowhere and the other 5% being random farmhouses.

Why don't I just play Frontlines, I hear you ask? Because it lowkey blows and doesn't scratch that itch of making the best defensive position I can, then throwing hell at it to see how well it stands. I can't build fast enough to make that happen with the 5 minutes it gives you. I'm trying to make layered defenses, so in Frontlines, by the time you spawn in and run your troops to the front, you've already lost half your setup time.

So what I'm looking for is a way to port some of the Frontlines maps with built-in trenches and fortifications into Conquest. That way I can build more defenses on top of the baked in ones, and attacking would no longer just boil down to following a tree line to an objective after shelling it with artillery for 6 minutes.

Which Heavy Machine Guns Fit in the Finnish Bunker?

I know that the DS-39 Finland gets fits in it, but I wonder what else that's a bigger caliber that fits, like a DShK or some 20mm AA guns or something. I really want to know what the limit is here. I've only tested the high-stand DShK, and it fits as long as it stays off the wood, but an issue with it is that since it doesn't sit close to the window, its cone of fire is very limited compared to the DS-39, which can have its barrel poking out the window.

Any customizable unit mods in the works for conquest?

I play Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, and in that game, there’s a mod that lets you customize individual soldiers and change their clothes, armor, weapons, and stats. So I wonder if any modders have thought about trying to make something similar for Ostfront?

I’d also be happy to know if there’s a mod that saves picked-up or changed loadouts from battles and carries them over into the next one instead of just rearming them with their old kit. I tend to have medics pick up rifles or have infantry swap out their primary weapons and hats for better guns or actual helmets, but when I resupply everyone from the menu, it gives them their old rifle back and makes them wear their hat instead of the helmet or use their pistol over their rifle.

[Recommendations] I Need Some Recs That Have MCs Treated Like SCPs

https://preview.redd.it/jg3k90mpw5fh1.png?width=1864&format=png&auto=webp&s=49e65819dfe3e974768d47fda7d5f5f6187566a5

These are [I'm Really Not the Demon God's Lackey], [The Artist Who Draws Dungeons], and [My Possession Became a Ghost Story], and I love these for how the side characters view the main character as basically an SCP and start studying them or noting rules on how to engage with them so they don't antagonize them and can keep them neutral. Or when the MC is seen as some sort of powerful being, so they treat the MC like an eldritch god that others need to be careful not to anger.

Is There Any Historical Images or Modern Reenactors Who Wear a Combination Like This?

The light gray diagonal lines are chainmail forgive the shitty artist rendition I tried my best but I really want to know if someone has previously thought of combining these cause I think this would look good as fuck with some full arm and leg armour with the little wings on the sides of the knees and elbows idk what they're called

How Do You Guide Someone Driving in Arma?

Me and some friends got into a disagreement about the most efficient way to tell someone to turn left/right when driving. I'm of the camp of saying, "this upcoming road on the left," but my friends say, "this next road on the left." I think my way is better because saying "next left" implies that it's not the one coming up but the next one over. This happened because I blew past the turn they wanted me to take because of that wording, and they both said that anyone would know that "this next left" means the nearest left and not the one after, which on maps in Arma, there's a few roads like this where 40m apart is a left turn to doom and despair or a left turn to a mean flank.

The road we were on was like this but not to scale they wanted me to make the nearest left

Upgrading GPU But I Want to Keep Everything Else Will It Be an Issue?

So I have a pre-built, and buying a lot of new parts is expensive, but I still want to upgrade. My thought is to just buy a new GPU for now and upgrade everything else later when upgrading isn't basically committing financial suicide.

Would upgrading from an RTX 2060 6GB to an RTX 3070 8GB while keeping my i7-9700 CPU be fine? According to PCPartPicker, the build with the new GPU would only need 388W, and I have a 500W PSU. But everywhere else says the RTX 3070 needs a 650W power supply. Would it be fine to just slap in the 3070 and do a clean install of the graphics drivers?

Any other ideas would be appreciated but unfortunately I dont want to upgrade to anything that isnt NVIDIA all my friends using radeon GPUs have constant issues I dont wanna be among the casualties

Want to Upgrade While Keeping My Current RAM and SSD

My current setup is:
i7-9700
RTX 2060
32GB of DDR4 2400-speed RAM

I want to upgrade my GPU to a 3080 Ti, but doing so would require a CPU and motherboard upgrade, since my current motherboard only supports i7-9700 CPUs. I also want to keep my current RAM, since RAM is expensive right now, and I’d rather not spend $600 on something that used to cost $200. My goal is to upgrade my PC to play CS2 at ~300 FPS on low settings, 4:3 (1280×960) stretched, while reusing my existing DDR4 RAM.

So I need suggestions for:

  • A new CPU (preferably Intel)
  • A motherboard that supports DDR4 2400 RAM

The reason I prefer Intel is because my current Intel/Nvidia setup has had no issues, aside from when one of my RAM sticks failed. In my friend group, all three of my friends who use AMD CPUs/GPUs constantly talk about issues like random crashes, blue screens, complete shutdowns, missing Event Viewer errors, and their PCs breaking after GPU driver updates, or games working one day and failing the next. I understand AMD is highly regarded, especially for things like 3D V-Cache, but based on what I’ve personally seen, I’d prefer to avoid taking that risk. My two other friends who use Intel/Nvidia setups don’t experience these issues.
