Hey marathi speakers do you think i can learn decent marathi through airlearn app??

There are chances i move to pune/bom from delhi for work. i can survive on hindi but every interaction with autowalas, vegetable bhaiya, watchman will feel like im missing the actual conversation happening around me.

Although i have started my course on airlearn for marathi 2 weeks back. basic greetings down, some food words.

questions for marathi speakers:

1/ is the marathi in apps the same as what mumbaikars actually speak

2/ one phrase that immediately makes autowalas not overcharge

mala marathi shikaychay 🙏🏻

The craziest AI combo rn might actually be ElevenLabs + Sync.so

People keep talking about image generation. Meanwhile AI video localization is quietly becoming insane.

1/ Clone a voice with ElevenLabs.

2/ Run lip sync through sync.so

3/ Suddenly someone is fluently speaking Spanish, Hindi, Japanese or English with realistic mouth movement.

The scary part is that most viewers probably won’t even realize AI touched the video within 2-3 years.

recorded the same interview answer 10 times in 10 days. ums went from 14 to 2

First take of "tell me about yourself" was 90 seconds. counted 14 ums and 6 "likes" on playback. genuinely horrified watching myself.

did it again the next day. then once a day for 10 days. final take: 2 ums, 1 "like," 25 seconds shorter, and i actually sounded like a human. watching the playback was the real unlock. not the recording itself. you catch every filler word instantly.

other stuff that helped: writing the answer out but not memorizing it, just the structure morning recording before brain got tired. Had a real phone screen yesterday and felt 10x calmer. Gave multiple ai mock interview on careerflow, toward the end of the week because it asks the same Q on loop and flags pace + fillers. phone voice memos work fine too honestly, the playback is what does the work.

recommend even if you're not interviewing rn.

People who chose veneer over laminate (or vice versa), any regrets after living with it for a few years?

Parents are renovating the house and I didn’t realize how divided people are on the laminate vs veneer debate 😭 One side says veneer feels way more premium and “alive” because it’s actual wood. Other side says laminates today already look good enough and are way less stressful to maintain long term, especially in Indian homes where dust, moisture, scratches, etc are unavoidable.Went down a rabbit hole visiting showroom went to this Royale Touche while researching, and now I’m even more confused because both sides make valid points.

What’s confusing me is that almost every interior designer pushes veneer emotionally, but most homeowners I know seem happier with laminates after 2–3 years of actual usage.

What's the weirdest Al-generated line you've seen on someone's LinkedIn?

I’ll start 😭 Saw someone describe themselves as: “a visionary results-driven innovator passionate about leveraging cross-functional paradigms for scalable impact.”

Brother what does that even mean anymore. I feel like AI tools made LinkedIn profiles simultaneously: more polished, more optimized and somehow way less human.

Every second headline now sounds like it was generated by the same prompt.

I’ve been testing a bunch of tools recently (ChatGPT, Careerflow, LinkedIn AI stuff etc.) and the funniest part is you can instantly tell when someone just copied the output without editing it. Curious what the most obviously AI-generated LinkedIn line you’ve seen??

~10k unique IPs hit our login endpoint last weekend.

The bot traffic on auth endpoints is genuinely insane in 2026.

We expected normal stuff: credential stuffing, spam signups and fake emails. But I wasn’t expecting unique IPs hammering login flows over a single weekend. At this point, building auth feels less like: “add login to app” and more like: “defend critical infrastructure from the internet.”

We’ve been exploring providers/tools like Cloudflare, Auth0, and Descope because traditional username/password flows feel increasingly broken against modern bot traffic.

Curious how other teams are handling this now?? Rate limiting?

Ep 6 candlelit dinner is the best scene in the franchise since Bella Ciao

No music. No needle-drop. Just Bruce opening up and the duchess communicating covertly with Damián across the table.

S1 would have scored this scene to death. S2 trusted the script and it landed harder than anything in the franchise in years.

Hyd folks, for laminate buying, is it actually cheaper at factory outlets vs Begumpet showrooms?

Doing my flat interiors. Got quotes from 2 authorized brand showrooms in Begumpet/Banjara, pricing seems steep but the showroom + samples + warranty paperwork looks legit. Friend keeps telling me to go to "factory direct" outlets near Patancheru / Medchal where laminates are supposedly 25-30% cheaper. But I'm worried it's old damaged or no warranty. What do u think?

For ppl here who've actually done this, where are you sourcing from for a mid-premium brand like Royale Touche? Also if anyone has dealer recs for Banjara/Jubilee Hills area pls drop. Renovation starts in 3 weeks.

Why is every single brand suddenly trying to trap me in a subscription????

I just wanted to buy dog food. One bag. Instead I had to uncheck three boxes, dismiss a popup offering me 20% off "for life" if I signed up for recurring delivery, and decline a "loyalty membership" at checkout. This is happening everywhere now. Coffee, vitamins, skincare…

Now it's an everyday thing.

I'm starting to think there's a reason. This made more sense when i read abt this in masters union newsletter, where AI shopping agents are coming. Once they can actually buy stuff for you, they will pick the cheapest option every time and brands know it. So the rush is on to lock you in before you ever get the chance to let an agent compare.

We are the last generation that will actually choose what brand of toothpaste to buy. And brands are sprinting to make sure we choose now and never again.

Pooja Room makeover under ₹50k, is a "premium feel" actually achievable at this budget?

Renovating a 5x4 ft pooja room. Total budget is ₹50k including labour. Want it to feel sacred and premium, not the standard "stick a sticker on plywood" look that most builders do. Constraints:

- No solid wood within budget (got quote of ₹1.8L for sheesham, hard pass)

- Parents wants something that looks rich but doesn't need polishing every 6 months

- Need a small mandir + two storage shelves + a ledge for diyas

- Should not catch fire easily (we light diyas daily, this is non-negotiable)

Thinking laminate finish on plywood base. Saw some premium textured laminates(at royale touche showroom) that mimic teak / walnut and they look unreal in showroom samples. Question is, will it look cheap once installed at scale, or will it actually pull off the premium look? Open to all suggestions. Pictures of your pooja rooms welcome.

man watching kanna chan grow is bliss, season 1&2 has kept it's wholesome moment and the anime have many cute moments. the art style and adaptation is also good. The movie was also great 🤧

for me its solid 4.7/5
