I have had my emerald green iPhone 13 (128 gb) for 3 years and a month at this point. This is the best phone i have used till now (my previous phone was the OnePlus 8 and the Moto G5 plus before that).

I would like to talk about some important parameters for me:

Performance:
The performance still holds up surprisingly well even on iOS 26.5 apart from a few micro stutters in low power mode and i kept pushing for beta updates until 26.5. I switched it off because of my depleting battery health and low screen on time.
It currently stands at 76%. But i can push this phone to about 5 hours screen on time on a single charge with youtube, social media and a bit of light gaming, nothing too intensive.

Camera:
The 13 has aged the best in this aspect. The primary camera is still so usable in variety of scenarios but the ultra wide at this point lacks the minute details that are more defined on android counterparts (flagship/ entry level flagship) and the newer iphones. In the daytime the video recording is great but i have noticed small halos if there is a bright light source during night time shooting.

My biggest gripe: The battery.
After 3 years of constant use, charging cycles the battery has taken an absolute beating. A 3200 mAh battery is simply not enough in 2026. But i guess you could make a point for the good battery life relative to the available physical capacity.
Now i do not have apple care because i felt it was too egregious but now i am having to weigh my options between a 5 figure battery replacement or an upgrade altogether.

Upgrade alternatives: Should i wait for the iPhone 18?
At this stage, i am too deep into the ecosystem as i have an ipad air m1 (2024) and airpods gen 4, which have made my life absolutely seamless, paired with the Apple One subscription. But having to deal with this crippling battery life on an intensive workday and having to lug around a 10k mAh wireless charger is simply not it.
I could trial the ios27 on this device as it promises for better software optimisation, liquid glass bug fixes and overall a much smoother experience compared to 26. But as i wait longer, the exchange value of my phone will keep dropping.
Spring 2027 is too long a wait for the iphone 18 imo but at the same time i do not want to buy a year old iphone (17) like i did with this one.

Or, maybe revert back to Android?
Some phones like the Nothing phone 3 and Xiaomi 17t are on some excellent deals and with the solid exchange value that this phone can offer, would be worth crossing over?

What do you think is the best solution?

TLDR: Rocking the iphone 13, consistent performance and solid camera considering age.

Inject the hopium in my veins already (this might be Ferrari’s only win of the season)

The India Afghanistan test match will probably be one sided, yet i am looking forward to it because of the IPL over saturation. What i want from team India is a measured and calculated approach, no under estimation of the opponent and no BazBall type shenanigans.
Things to look out for:

1. This test is paramount for Pant and Jaiswal to regain confidence after a disastrous and mid IPL respectively.
2. Excited to see Brar and Harsh Dubey, most probably will debut in this one off test match.
3. Every test match is do or die for us, from a WTC point of view.

For me it was the Portland Chainsaw Masquerade mission in Liberty City Stories, the one shot revolver was too good in this situation and i missed out on it the first few times i tried this mission with the SMG and got nowhere after the first 3-4 guys with the chainsaws.

There is still no clarity on whether Barcelona will trigger Rashford’s 30 million buy clause and his future looms with uncertainty. Barcelona are hoping we grant them a second loan season deal but that is just expecting too much, thinking we are that benevolent. Charles’ race looked promising after turn 1 in P1 due to Ferrari’s characteristic starts but a familiar trope continued as he slipped backwards lap by lap as the Merc powered cars came through. Ferrari is yet to get on top of the medium and hard tires in hot conditions. As a Charles’ fan I just look forward to the starts because thats what the car is good at. With Mercedes bringing in substantial upgrades for Canada, it seems like Ferrari’s most realistic chance of a grand prix victory is at Monaco at the hands of Hamilton and Charles in equal probability. Ferrari also brought the most upgrades this weekend (11) but it wasn’t enough to better a P6-P8 result. Onwards and upwards i guess.
