I’ve been nearly 100% in online affairs for years. I enjoy having someone that I know and can talk to other than my spouse. I have several long term friendships that pick up right where they left off when we reconnect. It feels normal to me now. But I never consider it an “affair.” It’s a friendship, a relationship, or something else, but it doesn’t feel like an affair.

And my spouse is aware and tolerates me having “online friends.” They don’t want and don’t know details. It’s very much don’t ask, don’t tell. Also I’m in my 60s and married for decades.
