Showcasing how I make vfx
I'm kind of proud of some of my vfx work and thought this might be useful to some people so I wanted to share this. I don't know if I should go more in depth on how I setup nodes so If you want to see that just let me know.
This was made using unity shader gaph and vfx graph (The only reason I'm staying there to be honest)
Having in game system like screenshake and physics props affected by the spell also enhance a lot how juicy the vfx feel but it's not really a part of the VFX itself
Also I think a lot of game dev should learn the classical animations principles. VFX are mostly motions and those Disney guys knew a lot about that.
Updated my trailer after this sub feedbacks but I still feel like it can be destroyed again and improved
When your scene only needs to look good from one angle
I mostly used fixed point of view and projected texture and I always found it quite funny how weird everything looks when you move the camera a bit too much
