24 hours - nothing?

Usually by hour 24 I get sneezes, yawns, cold sweats, and temperature deregulation. Even took a 3 hour nap today and I’m still tired. With buzzers, I’d be in wd in 6 hours, the past few days I’ve been taking Shift, but even when I’d take those in the past, I’d be feeling it by hour 24. No clue why I feel no WD

Edit: also using the Schauss method for vitamin C

What now?

I’ve been so used to feeling a synthetic euphoria that I’m not quite sure how to function sober anymore. The acutes are gone but the anxiety and anhedonia are hitting super hard. It’s scary looking to the future

Acutes are over!

(Except for lingering stomach issues and insomnia). Now, I just feel…blah. Anxious. It’s a slog to get out of bed and ready for work. I’m such an impatient addict I just want everything to be normal again and produce my own dopamine 😭 regardless, I am super grateful to not be in acutes anymore!!

Todays the day

I’ve been trying to quit all of 2026, waking up every day miserable, knowing I’m screwing up my life. I’ve avoided any kind of relationship because I’ve cared more about this drug than anything else and I didn’t want to put anyone else through my bs.

I have phenibut, klonopin, gabapentin, and propranolol. I took my last dose at 6am, and I have 2 hours left of work and I don’t work again until Friday, which I might take off as well.

Wish me luck y’all, I have to do this for my sanity.

Hot/cold sensations

I’ve been through this with other substances and know it’s basically the last to leave. Those who don’t have this issue anymore, how long did it take for you?

Anyone dealing with gnarly anxiety the first few days of a quit?

I had this moment of clarity when I woke up on Friday and said, no more. Cold turkeyed and have powered through the 4 days so far. Anyways, the anxiety is crazy. The restless legs (although getting better) I can deal with, the no energy fucking sucks, but the anxiety is the worst. I work a job where I have to deal with a shit ton of people, and I feel like I’m always stumbling or stuttering my words. Hoping people don’t come in so I can be left alone, but lord knows that never happens.

Anyways, anyone else relate, and for those who’ve gone through it, what was your timeline when your nervous system returned to baseline?

Day 3…not feeling great, but it’s manageable

I’ve tried quitting at least 20 times in the last 10 months. I’d take a few days off of work, lay in bed, and wallow in self pity until my lizard brains says hey, you can feel better in 5 minutes.

Anyways, some new bullshit has hit the stores at the SS here. Stuff called Homiez. Says there’s 7oh, em g one 5 and one 6. It was great the first few days, then after a month of downing bottles like the addict I am it made me feel like absolute shit. That’s when I got sick and tired and realized I needed to make a change.

I planned to dry out cold turkey starting on my Monday at work. I was gonna keep busy. After that, I hit up a buddy from rehab (I’m also a recovering alcoholic) and we went to two meetings and got food. I actually slept 4 hours that night.

Last night after work there was an AA convention going on, so I went and socialized, even though I felt like absolute death. Got myself a sponsor, and we went and ate at dennys til 12. I knew for sure I wasn’t sleeping last night, and they were having marathon meetings, so I went to a 3am meeting that lasted 2 hours, now here I am, back at work.

I just have to keep reminding myself to man the fuck up instead of feeling sorry for myself. Pay that fucking piper so I can start going to the gym again, start being interested in women again (idk about y’all but my libido was non existent), enjoy hobbies again.

In the past 3 days, I’ve had 6 people that are not family continually check in on me. I spread the whole damn world. I used to isolate like no one’s business, so it feels really good to be able to do this, despite feeling shit.

Before this round, the longest I’d gone dry was 18 hours. Restless ass legs, chills, sweats, 0 sleep last night….fuck it. Nothing in life is permanent. This too shall pass my friends. Let’s fucking get this!!!!!!!

Wishing you all peace of the mind ❤️

Day 2: leaf vs sbs

(500mgpd habit) Good morning/afternoon/evening everybody. I am about 28 hours out since my last dose of 7. I have been conflicted on tapering via leaf vs s—bs. I took leaf all day yesterday. It took away the worst of the WDs, although I’m still a sweaty, anxious mess with 0 sleep and an urge like none other than to just lay in bed all day. So, I know I’ve been taking leaf so far, but I was wondering how the other alkaloids might linger after I’m done with the taper, while s—bs would probably make me deal with the lan if those alkaloids now.

The reason for my post is to gauge what you fine people might do, through either your own experience, advice, or knowledge on which would be the better route: continue with Kratom since I seem to be surviving and start a 5 day taper when my work week starts (Wednesday) or take a dose of s—bs today and taper those for 5-7 days and deal with the other alkaloid WD now while I have a few days off.Thank you for your input.

Not sure how to proceed

Day 2 of no 7. However, I’ve been taking a ton of leaf to combat WDs. I still have cold sweats, insomnia, and anxiety, but I’m not dying like I would from CT. However, I’m not sure if I’m ‘cheating’ by not measuring my doses. For context, I was at around 500mg of 7 a day. I’m thinking of continuing this process for another day and tapering down, unless anyone has any better ideas because I’m all ears. I have a ton of subs too, and I’m not sure if I should continue with Kratom or take the subs tomorrow. Anyways, as I said, I’m all ears to y’all. Thanks for reading.

Day 2 on Subs

My skin feels like it’s on fire, can’t get warm or cold, and I have absolutely no energy (probably from getting no sleep last night (I’ve had a pretty bad headache as well, but no other symptoms besides those). I took 8mg in the morning yesterday and 4mg at night, but it really didn’t help much. Wondering if anyone can relate or commiserate OR provide an answer to why I kinda feel like shit?

How do you get .5 subs from an 8mg strip?

I know I can fold it, but I also saw someone talking about dissolving the strip in vodka and using an oral syringe. Just curious on y’all’s methods.

(CA) Taking sick leave for addiction detox reasons

In California. I work the front desk at a hotel Wednesday-Sunday. I asked to take off Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and use my sick time (I have 28 hours) so I could detox from opiates. When the owner said I couldn’t use sick time in advance, I told them it was for mental health issues. They asked if I have a doctors note, I told them I have an appointment on the 7th. They said I could take that day off for mental health reasons. Is this allowed? I am diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder, and the Dr I see is a psychiatrist. Just wondering, is this allowed?

Hypothetical: you take a week off work

You’re ready to quit. No one to bother you, no tasks needed to be completed…

Would you rather cold turkey and get it out of the way, or use subs? I know there are other things that may factor in, but I’m curious to hear your opinion.

What are some good/healthy hobbies for men in their 30’s?

I feel like I’ve been working, watching Netflix, and going to sleep recently. I know i’m definitely in a funk, I used to go to the gym, golf, surf, play pool, etc, but i’m curious to hear what your hobbies are/what hobbies there are for men/women outside of work. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I want to thank EVERYONE who posted their hobbies here. I’ve read ‘em all, and have enjoyed getting a glimpse into your personal life, and have some great, new ideas to get my butt off the couch after work. I will continue to read all those who post comments!

Other alkaloids affecting WD

This may sound quite naive so please bear with me. I’ve heard 7 withdrawal also has an affect similar to antidepressant withdrawal. So, in theory, would taking sertraline or Wellbutrin potentially combat any of those symptoms? Thanks in advance.

The root of the problem

Anyone here working on why they got addicted to these pills in the first place? I know I have to quit, I’ve tried a thousand times. I just feel so depressed and anxious without it. Even though it’s completely depleting my bank account, there’s a part of my brain that tells me it’s worth it, because it makes me sociable and it makes me feel good. The other, bigger part of my brain knows I have to quit. I’m terrified of it though. I know it’d only be a week or so of suffering, but it’s difficult to imagine my life without any vice. Currently taking around 4-500mg a day. Gonna hop on subs tomorrow and start with 4mg, hope that covers the worst of it. I know I can be someone who enjoys life completely sober, but it’s been so long since I’ve been that person. Fuck I hate this.

Question about subs

I have a habit of around 4-500mg a day, depending. I tried taking 8mg of subs after waiting 12 hours, and felt fine for about 8 hours. After that, the RLS, insane cold sweats, and general WD started kicking in. Definitely couldn’t sleep.

I read stories about people having 500-1,000mg habits taking 1,2,4mg of subs and being totally fine. I understand if I took more subs I’d probably be fine; just wondering if anyone relates to my predicament? I only have 24mg of subs left, don’t think it’d be enough to get me through this round. l know I can hit up quickMD again if needed, but I’m kinda baffled the 8mg of sub didn’t really do it for me.

Somewhat related (to quitting) I’ve recently found I’m pretty disciplined when tapering. I can get down to 120mg a day in about 4 days (definitely struggling in the process), and I know it may be frowned upon, but I think I’m gonna try that first, and continue to taper until maybe I won’t even need subs anymore to get through it.

Anyways, thanks for reading my question/rant. I’m an addict through and through, and can not mention any of this to anyone in my life, because of what I’ve already put my friends and loved ones through with other addictions, rehabs, etc. no one wants to hear it from me any more, so I’m grateful for this sub. Peace and love to you all.

Subs and 7

Would I completely blow it if I have 60mg of 7 tonight on my 2nd day of a sub taper? I have something really important to take care of tomorrow and could really use the sleep. Just wondering if it’d set me back. It’s the last of my stash.
