Just gave the lock puzzle in our psychological thriller 'The Next Stop' a fresh layer of polish 🔓✨

Hey everyone!

We’ve been focusing heavily on game feel and puzzle interactions lately. This is a quick look at the updated lock puzzle.

Our main goal was to make the mechanics feel much more smooth, tactile, and satisfying to interact with, while still keeping that tense, eerie atmosphere intact.

We'd love to hear your feedback on the presentation and the UI!

The evolution of our character design and atmosphere for 'The Next Stop' — How it started vs. How it looks now in the current demo. What do you think of the new art style?

Hey everyone!

We wanted to share a bit of the artistic journey behind our atmospheric mystery game, The Next Stop.

The first image is from our early concept phase when we were trying to figure out the characters and the general mood. The second image is how the game actually looks today inside the train wagon.

We spent a lot of time reworking the lighting, adding the neon reflections on the clothes and skin, and making the overall environment feel much more tense and polished to fit the psychological thriller vibe.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on the evolution!

Description: The Next Stop is an atmospheric and tense mystery game developed by our indie studio, Paranoid Delusion. The game focuses heavily on psychological tension, deep environmental storytelling, and an eerie vibe that keeps players on edge. You find yourself on a strange, unsettling train ride where every corner seems to hide a secret, and every emotion leaves a lasting mark. We have carefully crafted the visual identity and the sound design to submerge the player into a deeply uncomfortable yet intriguing narrative experience. Your goal is to explore the environment, interact with the elements of the train, and uncover the disturbing truth behind this journey before time runs out. We are currently looking for honest player feedback to polish the core experience and the overall pacing.

Free to Play Status: Demo available

Involvement: I am the developer and founder of Paranoid Delusion, the indie studio creating the game.

Testing our indie game on an old CRT TV to see if catches the right eerie vibe. What do you think?
