Can someone actually explain Dexos oil to me?

Maybe I'm just dumb (well..I know i am) but I'm just not understanding dexos oil. I get it's like a high performance oil or whatever for 2011+ GM's. But why is what seems like a GM specific oil is manufactured for all cars if it's specific to GM?

I was in the store the other day getting oil and stuff for my 01 CRV and everything from Mobil 1 to Pennzoil was dexos oil. There was only 1 or 2 bottles of Mobil that wasn't dexos. Guy behind the parts counter couldnt really explain it to me.

Dumb it down for me!

Honda GCV160 carb question

Hello all. I acquired a pressure washer with a Honda GCV160. It hadn't ran in many years so I replaced the carb and changed the oil and plug and all that. For whatever reason the butterfly valve on the side mounted to the engine is only stays closed when running. You can see me fiddling with it before starting it. Before starting it the valve stays opened, then when starting it the valve closes and stays closed. What is going on you think?

Can someone tell me why I cant stop an oil drip from the drain plug?

Volvo D13 engine. Yes it has a new drain plug washer, and yes it is torque down to 45lbs as it says on the oil pan. It still has a slow drip though, about 18-20 drops per minute. Ain't much but it's 18-20 drops per minute more than what I want. I know these oil pans are the "special" lightweight not as durable oil cooling pans that can crack with too much torque on the drain bolt. Wasn't leaking before changing the oil, now it is. Can't figure it out. What's going on?

Hey all, I finally started playing 76 a month back. I'm about lol 45 now and getting into doing the activities and whatnot. I'm getting all this armor and weapons and stuff that are good but really there's no way I'm gonna use most of it. What is the best thing to do with it? Scrap it and learn the legendary mods? Sell it to vendors? Put it up for sale in my vendor? Right now it's just all taking up space in my stash box not doing anything. Thanks!
