How is the Bose lifestyle ultra dialogue enhancement compared to Sonos arc ultra

Anybody here own a Sonos and then went to the new lifestyle ultra, how is the sound comparable? I’m really interested in the dialogue if anybody can just give me a rundown of what they think thank you.

Wishing for an app update for true play saving one day.

Would love to have an update so that we could at least save one previous true play profile in case the new one doesn’t work out, or something around those lines. 2. A bit of a refinement for the dialogue enhancement. Not much of a request I know, but I think the true play one would help out a lot.

Sonos dialogue enhancement update

I know I’m probably in the minority here but my favorite dialogue enhancement thus far has been the one on Apple TV. I’ve heard Bose and it sounds kind of similar, voice Zoom 3 is a hit or miss, but I believe it works better with a conjoint television. I still think that Sonos has a little bit of improving to do because sometimes it’s just not cutting it, I would love to always rely on the Sonos enhancement rather than the Apple TV due to the fact that I have the same experience with Blu-ray’s or games at times, so I would like to rely on Sonos completely without the background becoming collateral damage, unlike Apple TV or Bose where it doesn’t seem that there is much collateral damage and overall they’re AI sounds more natural natural keeps dialogue full not thin. This is just a small thing most of the time I don’t need it, but when I do I find it’s a hit or miss. Stay rad everyone thanks for listening🥂

The Bravia 7 ii and 9 ii blow the 8 ii out of the water.

The Bravia 7 ii and 9 ii blow the 8 ii out of the water.

I saw the 7 ii, 9 ii next to the 8 ii and the regular 8 all together with the same demo reel at Best Buy. At times you couldn't tell the 8 ii from the RGB TVs. At other times, the RGB TVs from Sony dominated it. The puppy scenes were where the RGB TVs just looked a generation ahead of the QDOLED.

The mix of dark and light Kratos scene is where the 8 ii looked better on parts of Kratos body along the shoulders but the RGB TVs just had far more outright victories in the reel. They didn't just look better in certain parts like 8 ii where parts of the ground in one grass shot had better black dirt or the Kratos scene where only a portion of the scene was better. It was the entire image. It was like a veil was lifted off the image with RGB TVs. When they won they dominated the entire scene on screen.

The OLEDS just looked dim and couldn't touch the RGB TVs on color. They always looked better on color, often times to a ridiculous degree. It shocked me how little the on paper contrast advantage showed up in that particular demo. At least with that particular demo, RGB was clearly the better mix of traits. But it all comes back to the scenes with puppies. The brightness was clearly a super power that brought about far more clarity and color. QDOLED can hang in some scenes just to get blown out in quite a few others. Second and third generation RGB TVs are going to be ridiculous. No way would I choose the 8 ii over either one.

The Bravia 7 ii looked identical to 9 ii most of the time and there was very little difference when they differed. In fact, a few times it was brighter in certain parts of the screen. I would have no problem getting the 7 II and saving some money.

Cracking and popping sounds on the G6

Has anyone had any annoying popping and cracking sounds with high brightness scenes on the G6 as reported, is it tolerable? If so, does it only happen on high brightness content?

Sonos & LG, or any TV🤷🏻‍♂️ auto or pass-through, thoughts on sound differences?

On LG OLED TVs or for that matter any TV, when dealing with Sonos, I find that the audio is a bit louder with the auto setting, than pass through, but pass through sounds incredible, but auto, dialogue is more intelligible. Anyone else run into this and what setting do you like, pass-through or auto?

Would love to see a new Arc and Beam, with new features and capabilities down the line.

I think that Sonos would knock it out of the park big-time if they released their next Arc soundbar with an HDMI input pass through, Support for all audio formats lossless etc. A small remote for times you need to control your night mode, dialogue etc. while charging your phone that might not be next to you. As for the beam, it would be nice it it had Atmos up firing speakers. And the next era 100s or 200s or whatever they will call them, could have up firing speakers to pair with a beam, and the ability to add 2 sub mini’s to your system. No Sonos sequencer. What would you like to see in the new sound bar lineup and speaker lineup when and if they do come out, this includes any app functions that you would like added. Would love to hear your thoughts🥂

Sonos restart/factory reset toggle or button in app.

Who else would like to see a toggle or a button in the settings to restart your Sonos system, sound bar, etc. from the app itself instead of unplugging from the source and a toggle or a button to factory reset on the app, I think it would be nice not having to unplug things. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sonos small wishlist features for the Arc Ultra / immersive set, similar to BoseLlifestyle Ultra and Sony Bravia Trio, but better.

I love the Arc Ultra, but I sometimes wish that it had the center channel control like Bose lifestyle ultra does, and their AI speech enhancement. I think Sonos can refine their AI speech enhancement to outperform any other on the market without drowning out surrounding elements. And I’m not sure, but Sony Bravia Trio comes with a calibration microphone. I wonder if Sonos can follow suit to provide a better True Play experience from a Sonos tailor-made microphone.😃 I just think that Sonos will be able to implement these things better than these other companies. Small wishlist not a complaint, that’s about it, a tad more control, especially for the center channel, a more refined AI speech enhancement & possible True Play tailor-made Sonos microphone. Other than that the Arc Ultra is amazing so far. I’m sure Sonos will continue to cook and remind everybody why they’re the king🤘🏼

LG OLED or any other OLED tv for that matter.

Anyone come across the APL TPC auto dimming as a problem? I know it can be disabled in the service menu, but how annoying is it for everyone else? Should I go with mini LED? Dealt with the ABL when it was aggressive on the C1, it made dark shows unwatchable until I turned it off in the service menu. I heard it’s not that easy anymore. Is it as aggressive these days or is it more forgiving?

Does anyone suspect any new Sonos items to drop this year or next? If so, what would you guys like? Personally a pair of 100s with up firing speakers and a beam 3 with a up firing speakers & DTS support, if Sony can do it so can Sonos🤘🏼 I know it’s asking a lot but same price point hopefully🥂

Are there new AirPods on the way in September? Is that why they’re at a heavy discount right now or is this a Father’s Day thing?🥂

Would it be egregious to have an 83 inch or 85 inch at a 8 foot viewing distance or is 77-75 the sweet spot? 📺🥂

Sonos center speaker

I would love to see control over the center channel with Sonos or they can take a queue from Sony and develop a center speaker the size roughly of the beam and be able to control the volume of said center speaker, either way I think this would be better than trying to use voice enhancement AI or at the very least refine the speech enhancement AI like Sony has. 💭
