8 months sleep regression?

So I am guessing we are in a 8 months sleep regression. Although my husband is convinced it is me teaching baby bad habits. I am the problem apparently.

Baby never slept through the night. But was not bad actually, mostly just a 3-4 am feed and right back to his crib.

As of two weeks ago we have nights when we sleeps from 8 pm to about 12-1am a d from there in its wake ups every hour or so. Sometimes stands up in the crib, sometimes just gets fussy in the crib. Mostly I just try to settle him back to sleep but when I can’t no longer I bring him to bed just to sooth and then back to crib.

I am feeling terrible physically, I can’t get anything done. Husband looks at me like i create my owns problem. He sleeps on the couch these days because we often catches up on work into late hours and he also snores. He takes the baby most morning so I can get an hour of sleep.

He would go for straight out cry it out. I am not crazy about it. Especially if teething is a factor. Although it might come to that.

Any advice? Good sleep training programs?

8 months old recommendation

My baby is 8 months old and is 90%. Big boy, very active. Somehow we didn’t get into baby wearing yet as there was no great need. He lets me get things done well enough. But I would love to try so we can take him with us without getting a stroller out all the time. What would work well for a large baby? From what I tried before, he hated facing in. But he was very young then. Had a moomcozy that somebody gave me.

Hospital grade pump

Hello. Baby is 8 months tomorrow and we made it this far with breast milk only until a week ago. Plus solids now. A week ago I added a bottle of formula when needed. We run out of frozen stash and I am often short 100-200 ml per day.
I tried so hard to increase supply. Including under guidance of a lactation specialist. So far nothing. Only thing I haven’t tried is hospital grade pump. And pumping all night long is just no at this stage. We get up twice to feed anyways.

Does anybody have experience switching to a hospital grade pump and seeing a difference?

Time to add formula? So sad.

Baby is 7 months and is thriving. 90% in fact in hight and weight. I froze lots of milk before 12 weeks. Then after stress supply went way down. So some days I added a bag from frozen as I am often 100-200 ml short. Now I gave very little frozen left. Trying again to increase supply. Should I be getting some formula to replace one feed with it? Baby has a very itchy spot in his head and I was hoping to avoid formula. Anything anybody can recommend that is organic and overall very clean?

Husband is being so “helpful”

So mad!

I told my husband we need a strategy to get me more sleep. I never did well on poor sleep to begin with. Postpartum has been hard. My body is screaming in all kinds of ways. Every old issue shows up.

To my request he says go to sleep with the baby. Oh? So I go to sleep at 8:30 and never stretch, never wash my hair etc. Like who needs 1.5 hours baby free ever? I am so mad! Instead of just taking the baby in the early morning for a new hours like we did early on.

He has no idea how tired I am how my body hurts. How I try ti keep everything together. And not like I haven’t told him.

I woke up this morning so sore and asked husband to take the baby for 30 minutes so I can sleep a little more so I could drive to an appointment. I got more rest during that 30 minutes than the whole night! I guess knowing that he is watching the baby.

I don’t know why I am even posting this. Anybody find therapy helpful to straighten out these kinds of dynamics. Any other advice?

Oh, he manages to get some gaming in the evenings!!!

Naps all over the place

Baby is 5.5 months. As much as I try get him to nap around sane time each day, things move around drastically. So if naps are not consistent how on earth can I keep bed time consistent.

He went to nap at 4 pm instead of 5. Now I have to start bedtime at 6:40 instead of 8 as we usually do? Or insert another nap between 5 and 8?

We do 8 am bedtime because some days I work until 7. 8 works for us best. He is asleep before 9 that way. Abs wakes around 7.

5 months old decided that independent play is not for him anymore

I am going crazy. I can not get anything done. My apartment is a terrible mess. I don’t have time to even eat now. Baby was good at playing solo in crib or on the floor before. Now, he instantly flips to his stomach and starts to whine. I flip him back, he flips instantly. He won’t sit still when I pick him up. And he does like being in a carrier. Entire wake windows are spent going from place to place. I am aching all over. He is a big baby. I feel like I am losing my mind. Going out for an hour does a little good but that is just a small part of otherwise a very long day. What to do?
