Ухватио сам неке слике током једне магловите Београдске ноћи, нисам навикао да видим наш Београд у ОВАКВОМ сјају (или боље рећи одсуству сјаја).

The Balkans just hate everyone, including invaders-I mean, friendly neighbourhood superpowers!

As a Serb, many flags of Serbian cities and municipalities are underwhelming to say the least, so i set out to redesign some of them.

I started with Zvezdara Municipality, Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia.

Zvezdara is named after an observatory built on a hill in said municipality, the name comes from the Serbian word for "star", "zvezda".

What i did was i took the dome-like shape of the observatory's roof and placed it in the middle of the flag, replacing the rather unoriginal Big Dipper on the current flag (and it's not even the correct orientation, it's mirrored...)

I placed one of these 6 pointed stars in the middle of the roof, to keep a connection with the current flag of Zvezdara County.

I also desaturated the colours because the current ones are making my eyes bleed.

So, I've decided to redesign the flag of Belgrade, the capital city of the Republic of Serbia, with my own spin on it.

So, instead of cramming the entire fortress (which doesn't even look like the iconic fortress in the heart of the city), I've opted for USING something much simpler:

A gate.

This gate not only represents the Belgrade fortress, but also represents the fact that Belgrade is "the gate of the Balkans", as it holds the converging point of the Sava river into the Danube.

The two golden waves, one on the top and the other on the bottom, represent the Danube and Sava rivers.

The red background represents the blood shed over this city.

I've also added some weathering to the gate because i think it adds character, but i also have a clean version if anyone's not a fan of said weathering.

The original flag is on the last slide.

The Christiandom of Abberrane is proud to present the first version of its new alphabet, the Abberranean alphabet (Аберињанска азбука), based on the official Serbian alphabet and the letters used in it (you do need to understand the Serbian alphabet to also understand the Abberranean alphabet, though).

The letters within the Abberranean alphabet are subject to change as the alphabet evolves, which ranges from minor tweaks to full-on redesigns of some letters, though I can't say for sure that it will happen, but be aware that this is not fixed in place, and the alphabet could change with time, as i said.

Yes, in case anyone is wondering, i am open to suggestions on what i could change or improve here.

That's about it.

This is the coat of arms for my own family that i designed, the symbolism is as follows:

So, we come from a volunteer who came from the Russian Empire to fight in the First Serbian Uprising, against the Ottoman Empire.

Due to him being from Moscow, he got the nickname "Moskovski (from Moscow)", that is how we will refer to him.

So, after the uprising, Moskovski settled in what would become a part of Belgrade, but in his time was a quaint village.

Moskovski gave some land he acquired for a church to be built in 1834, and as a sign of gratitude, the government at the time gave him about the entire street as his own plot, which is also why the street gained his name, as he held said street.

Now, obviously, you didn't have construction workers, cranes, et cetera in the 1830s, so Moskovski must have helped out in building said church.

Moskovski also had seven sons, which marked the beginning of our bloodline, that is still here, 200 years later.

The design is as follows:

-The colours reflect our Russian roots;

-The white bell with a red brim in the middle reflects the church that we gave the land for and helped in construction, which remains a significant building in the entire area.

The eight-pointed star reflects Moskovski and his 7 sons, who started the bloodline.

Hint: it's NOT Serbia this time.

Dakle, očigledno je da je Mirijevo drugačije od ostatka opštine Zvezdare, na primer kaže se "idem u Mirijevo", a ne "idem u Zvezdaru", "Mirijevac", a ne "Zvezdarac" ili "Zvezdaš", itd.

Pritom, ja zapravo dolazim iz starosedelačke porodice u Mirijevu, tu, gde je sada Mirijevo I, već 200 godina, pa da, ima malo i lokalnog patriotizma.

Bez daljnjeg odugovlačenja, zapitao sam se:

"Kako bi izgledalo da Mirijevo ima svoju zastavu i grb, da više ne koristi zastavu celokupne opštine Zvezdare?"

Za taj scenario, zanemarićemo da naselja po običaju nemaju svoju zastavu i grb.

Dakle, ovo je moja zastava za Mirijevo, "Zlatni Vinogradi".

Logika dizajna je prosta:

Zlatna pozadina za zlatno klasje od vremena kada je Mirijevo bilo svoje zasebno selo, a crveno klasje u gornjem levom uglu predstavlja i vinograde koje je Mirijevo imalo pre urbanizacije, jer je jedno tek pre par vekova Mirijevo bilo znano za svoje vino, zapravo, ima smisla kada su brda idealna za vinovu lozu, još i pored čuvenog Mirijevskog Potoka..

Grb ima zelena brda sa vinom na dnu, i crveno klasje na vrhu.

The coat of arms has **cascading hills with rivers of wine flowing down** them, and in the upper half a **red ear of wheat**, from the flag.

The **green** stripe on the lower flag is an adaptation of the coat of arms.

I've designed this flag and coat of arms as my family has a 200 years long history of living in Mirijevo specifically, so this place feels important to me, important enough to have a flag and coat of arms made for it.

The Christiandom of Abberrane unveils new passport design as part of celebration of the first anniversary

It is time we gave our passport a refresh!

And what better time to do so than on our first anniversary?

The new passports shall include things like your picture, name, surname, D.O.B, and look! We have the electronic passport chip thingy now!
