My recently acquired 1953 Rockwell Delta drill press.
There is not a single piece of plastic on this thing. The main shaft use bronze bearings, and a ball bearing for thrust on the bottom. And another ball bearing for the pulley on top. They all have holes so you can oil them. The motor has bearings that use oil too. The rest is heavy cast iron. And I know it's missing the small cover on the front. This press did not have a belt cover, but only a cover for the front pulley.
Random Toothless pic no.312 - It's like a dog and a leaf blower, if you know you know,
Random Toothless pic no.311 - This movie being from 2010 has some good fucking animation, like holy moly.
I framed the posters that were printed by a friend. I think they turned out very nice.
I got this antique Delta Rockwell drill press delivered for 200 dollars.
I wish I took a photo of when it arrived from the mail. The motor was ripped off the frame and the motor bracket was fucking mangled. I had to put the bracket in my vice and beat it with a sledge hammer to bend it back. Damaging my table in the process. All the ball bearings were good, just very sticky and stiff. I oiled them and now it works. I had to make a new cover for the motor out of brass. I am going to wire an on/off foot control for it. Any tips for this drill press would be helpful.
