Hot Take: Morgoth was Justified

Like the desire to create and be equal to your creator and being denied it is pretty tragic and I can see why he had his crash out

I'm aware that it's likely not possible for Eru to choose not to be all powerful but also he created Melkor and probably knew all this was going to happen and let it happen anyway.

A lot of this kind of boils similarly to the Satan vs God debate but I think this is different as it seems Melkor's initial view is sympathetic rather than coming out of nowhere

I am also aware this is not the intention of how it was written as generally Tolkien wanted everything to be black and white but of course nuances have found their way through

Lets get a breakdown on Ancap Stuff

so in my last post here I asked what the different factions of Ancap are and I was able to get into a lot of interesting sources into how the majority of Anarcho Capitalists' perspectives and philosophy.

in my research ive come across some interesting concepts, terminology and ideas and would like to get these broken down to see if I got them correct or if perhaps there are multiple interpretations of the same concepts

to reiterate I am not an Ancap myself just interested in learning about this Aisle of the political spectrum. I do not claim to have masterful knowledge in fact these posts are more so to get that better understanding as I think hearing from the people that put stock into these ideals is better than just reading a book about it

so first of all "Statism": I think I understand this the least but from what I understand the Ancap consensus is that the State/Government is where corruption is. The Negative connotation towards capitalism in general comes from its interaction with the state and that is why the state is bad and the desire is to get rid of it. if that is done then capitalism is more or less fixed?

next the Taxes issue: Ive heard from some sources that some versions of Ancap believe that Taxes are theft and that they can build a society in which they don't exist. A hot take to say the least I can see for those that have a business high taxes are not ideal but no taxes whatsoever even in a more anarchist society is a wild claim and I would think it was probably a statement made out of context

Lastly "end all be all": Im really interested in this one because ive gotten two perspectives. Some Ancap people are saying that Anarcho-Capitalism is not to be the end all be all, that the desire for this sort of system is more so to be a transitional period before going into another system and it has varied from person to person as to what exactly but ive heard syndicalism and anarcho-socialism which seems like a complete 180 but again I have no idea. My question being that is the previous statement true? or is the idea that Ancap is the end all be all perfect system and why?

these are just 3 of the concepts ive been seeing around on the subreddit and a few other internet spaces, id like to hear some thoughts and feel free to propose some other concepts, questions and ideas for future posts

are there subfactions of AnCap?

might be a strange question but as ive been watching this subreddit for a while there is definitely a division in the community as to what people say Anarcho Capitalism is and what its supposed to do.

In general of course in politics, you get people with their own perspectives and niche understanding of the bigger picture. Though every group can still be broken down to an even smaller group. you have your Leftists that can be broken down into socialists, communists among other things on the spectrum. but they of course can be broken down further Market Socialism, Anarcho-Communism, lots of isms

what are the different perspectives within this specific group of people that stand out from one another?

Any Tips for a campaign set in Thay?

id like to say im adept within the lore of the forgotten realms, I read the Drizzt books when I was a kid, been following the Baulders Gate games and outside of that ive been surfing the wiki and watching videos on it for a few years now.

this is the first time ive really gotten into Thay, ive been reading through the "land of the red wizards" book, thinking of using the adventure there to start things off

I dont want to give away too much of what I have planned in case somehow my players come across the post but I did think about a sort of main quest involving a Tharchion finding Godsbane and using it to capture Kelemvor and basically hold Death itself for ransom

is there anything in the old lore that would be interesting to incorporate into such a campaign, common misconceptions about Thay that might be important to bring up? etc?
