You have life on the easiest setting possible. You do what you want, when you want. You choose who you want to interact with. No one can pressure you to do anything you dont want to do. You can just simply quit interacting with them.

Your expenses are low. You can save money at will. Not a dollar gets spent unless you decide to spend it. You dont have to explain yourself to anyone. Your decisions are yours to make. You dont have to check in with anyone.

No one can manipulate you. No one can make you do anything. Once your comfortable with being alone, people lose their power over you. There is no greater freedom than embracing being alone.

Loneliness is just a word that has no meaning to you. Its something people throw around to project their fears on to you. Dying alone is'nt scary. It sounds peaceful. Theres no other way you'd rather go out.

Your presence becomes increasingly valued to others, because of how scarce you've become. You dont deal with disrespect because no one gets the luxury of showing you disrespect more than once. Its the creme de la creme of existence and anyone who disagrees?

You need a reason to wake up in the morning. Something that you want to do every day that brings you joy and satisfaction. Something with no end goal or accomplishment. Your just doing it because its what you've decided you want to do with your life.

For me that purpose is music. It makes me feel alive. I couldnt go a day without music. I enjoy listening to music as well as creating music. It doesnt matter who or how many people are listening. What matters is the enjoyment i get from the process of making music.

Whether its music or art, woodworking, painting, storytelling, writing, film making or photography, i reccomend diving head first into something that interests you and making it your lifes mission. Dont think about making money. This is about your life. What footprint do you want to leave on this planet before your time is up?

Yes i do work a 9 to 5 job. No i make no money from music. But it makes me happy and thats the whole point. Doing what makes you happy is the point of life. Find something, not someone, to make you happy. People change, but your passion will always remain the same.

I remember a time when politics was boring. Politics was rarely talked about. The world seemed less divided. Prime Television was full of great black shows, movies, entertainment, music.

No one cared about what race the characters were or skin tone. Being black felt not just cool, but felt like something to be proud of. Seems like we were on a trajectory for a bright future.

And then something happened when obama ran for president. All of a sudden people started paying attention to politics. It became mainstream discussion. What was boring became interesting to people. One could also mention 9/11 being a pivotal point as well.

However, I think it was around the presidential campaign leading to 2008 that the divide began. The talk of glass ceilings and could a woman or black man be elected president. Is it just me or did you notice a shift in the energy as well? What are your thoughts on this?
