Does anyone dislike Louisa, a lot?

She couldn't read the room if her life depended on it. She knows Martin yet she expects him to behave differently, and she volunteers him for stuff without giving him the details of what's expected of him. Then she blames him and plays the victim.

Rescue dog story

So, we rescued an 18 month old pointer who was living under a bridge with her 2 babies. They were able to find homes for the babies pretty quickly (they were old enough), but mom was more difficult because she had heartworms, so we adopted her. My god, have we been lucky! We named her Mimi because my son called me Mimi when he was a baby and Mimi was such a wonderful mom to her pups. Mimi is the most wonderful dog. After all she's been through, she still has the most joyful demeanor. She's so happy (in hindsight we thought we should have named her Happy), loving, and funny. And she's so very smart! She actually understands us. Our vet wants to kidnap her. 😉 Mimi has brought incredible joy into our lives. We're so very lucky.

UPDATE: I forgot to tell you that Mimi thinks she's a lap dog and loves tummy rubs.

My sister's dog Mimi, had an allergic reaction to something. She took her to the vet, so we're not looking for medical advice.

I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this. You're seeing scabs. We're down to an allergic reaction to the bath soap she used or bug bites/stings. What do you think?

Does anyone know what this is? It's obviously damaged barrier but it's the textural changes I'm talking about.

And I don't know what caused it. Maybe Matrixyl Synthe'6 though I stopped using it on my eyes. Only my crowsfeet. I did apply 4% salicylic acid yesterday. I apply it twice a week. I applied 10% glycolic acid this morning, but I've been applying it every Mon, Wed & Fri for months.

What is your favorite long-lasting/all day waterproof sunscreen.

I have combination oily skin, so something that controls oil is a plus.

I know some Americans will say there's no such sunscreen that you don't have to reapply every 2 hours, but they do actually exist and they do actually work. Swimming and sweating does require reapplication if the sunscreen isn't waterproof.

Does anyone still want the long-press back button for a drop-down history of that tab function?

Most “retinol reactions” aren’t allergies, they’re irritation from incorrect use.

A lot of what gets labeled online as a “retinol reaction” is actually irritation due to frequency, strength, or product combinations.

General beginner guidelines supported by common dermatology recommendations:

• Begin with a low concentration.
• Introduce slowly: ~2 nights/week → increase as tolerated.
• Buffering (moisturizer → retinol → moisturizer) may reduce irritation.
• Avoid concurrent use with AHAs/BHAs or low-pH vitamin C at night.
• Apply on dry skin to minimize penetration-related irritation.
• Daily sunscreen is essential.
• Reduce frequency if dryness/peeling occurs.

Thought this might help anyone struggling with retinoid irritation.
