I find the army a bit boring with some often the rules like the martial ktah rule and the very static march up and fight gameplay. How can I make the army actually flavorful and fun while still keeping functionality. This is what i usually run which while effective is just bland

I’m not aiming for pitch black but like grey/blueish black. Pitch black looks really boring on models from the couple tests I did

Obviously minimum of 120 boys lol. But what kind of support, is ghaz worth taking in that? What kind of support characters units and vehicles, etc.

What kind of strategies would you actively use with them? Obviously close and kill but I’d like some more depth to that answer. If anyone runs it what is your opinion on it? With 11th incoming it may be better or worse. Or both? Idk cause now with the lack of saves basically at 6ups at best for all other infantry with how cover works, this detachment may become very good while still not having much punch to it. Curious to general consensus on it

I tend to make a general style list for myself which works decently but I’d like some general advice. I know running dorn commanders would be better but I don’t have 2 and I do enjoy my Russ TC. Past that I feel like i have a very straightforward walk and shoot. What are some good units that provide a bit more versatility like deep strike, infiltrate, scouts. Etc. what other suggestions can be made for this list

I have a general idea of scoring units, damage dealers and utility. We need intercessors, scouts, and either lancers or repexes. Victrix brick with calgar and Cato. But what are some proper competitive lists? What am I missing from the basics?

I’m thinking of an army and one of my picks is orks but I want to stay a bit away from the hordy aspect since I’ve got two hordes in 40K. But I still want that fun goofy flavor, how can I achieve an elite style with goofy fun factor that tells a fun story every game
