I just finally learned how to waveshine with Falco and its ridiculous the shield pressure and combos it opens up. Falco already felt like a great character even before but now he just feels godly. I cant waveshine consistently but just being able to do it at all has made the game 10x more fun.

I was playing Marth for awhile but switched back to Falco since he was my main playing Smash casually as a kid. Hes way more fun to play to me so I think ill stick with Falco.

Anyway no real point to this post other than I wanted to share im having fun with my improvement!

And I know people use boxes and stuff too but I just mean like opposed to other pad controllers. I havent been into competitive Melee too long and im a Slippi only Bronze 3 player . Ive been using an 8Bitdo controller and I feel like the more I improve the more I should upgrade my controller game.

I know gamecube controllers are great and have used them alot. But my years of playing Smash as a kid was pretty casual aside from some Brawl tourneys I started getting into. So its not like I understood why it was good for it. And I still dont know now other than its just the most comfortable and natural for me for Smash.

Plus people always tell me "Youre never gonna compete with a controller like that"(my 8bitdo). So it makes me feel like im holding back my progress and execution.

Ngl I cried at the end. Riku was my favorite character in this one. Some of the best storytelling in the whole series if not the best.
