My wife is European, and while her family initially had some reservations about our relationship, everything settled down once we had kids. They now make a wonderful effort to include us and our children in all their activities.

​Conversely, my own Indian family has started to completely sideline me, which is especially hurtful since I am an only child. All their plans and attention now revolve exclusively around my wife and kids. When my mom visits, she only cooks their favorite meals. She has even stated that her will divides her belongings solely among my wife and children. During our last visit to India, I was even made to take an Uber by my cousins because no one made space for me in the family car.

​I am starting to feel like a complete afterthought and barely recognize my mom and cousins anymore. Is this kind of overcompensation normal behavior for Indian parents and in-laws, or is this unusual?"

We are a family of 4 moving to Southern Germany (Stuttgart) . Wife is a stay at home mom and kids are aged 5 & 1.
After subtracting fixed costs (Rent, kindergarten fees, insurances, car loan etc) we would be left with close to €1500 every month. Would this be enough to cover our expenses like Grocery, fuel and ocassional weekend getaway? We are are worried that we might not be able to save any money
