Carbureted cars is more difficult to start in hot weather?

Dodge diplomat 318 two barrel. with all the heat my we’ve been suffering through my daily driver M body took a couple more seconds to start when I cranked it. The carburetor is running a little rich. Have you folks that have carbureted cars ever had more difficulty starting it in extra hot weather? In extreme heat cold start I usually do two pumps 1/2 times - Two pumps that are 1/2 down when the engine is cold, second start of the day after around four hours I do one half pump; that’s where it took about two seconds longer to crank it. It’s still starting on the first crank every time Did you have to modify the way you started it to accommodate for the hot weather? if so, how how many pumps, how many times. Thanks.

Double dose of vitamins?

Have you ever doubled the dose of a vitamin complex or herbs in order to get the relief that it promises?

I have a problem with gallbladder issues, a manager of a health food store who works with a Yoda vitamins a real master she advised me to double the dose of a gallbladder, relief, formula, magnesium, milk, thistle, and peppermint tea only peppermint tea in a pill form.Have you ever done this type of thing? And it doesn’t have to be these vitamins but in general and do you think it’s wise advice there is no interaction with any other medicine I’m taking so I’m thinking worse comes to worse. I would just have it passed through my urinary track if it was anything in excess, so you folks ever done this type of thing? And it doesn’t have to be just gallbladder issues, but any issues. Thanks.

Sinus symptoms disappeared. Should I still go to scheduled doctors appointment on Monday the 29th?

I have an appointment with an ear, nose, and throat doctor scheduled for Monday the 29th, but there’s only one problem: my symptoms are gone. My primary doctor said I had postnasal drip. I’ve been using saline spray for my nasal passages along with an over-the-counter sinus spray, and I haven’t had any symptoms in the last few days. Should I still go to the appointment?

I have a feeling that if the doctor scopes me, he won’t find anything because there are no symptoms. Should I go anyway or reschedule when the symptoms appear again (if they ever do)? In the past, I had some pretty severe allergy problems, but they went away with shots 20 years ago. Thanks.

Scope up my nose

I have an appointment with an ear nose and throat doctor. I was told I needed an endoscopy I’m a singer and my voice is everything and to have a probe go up my nose just about an eighth of an inch from my eyes is scary for me. No doubt most of you have had this. What’s it like? What’s the chances for any negative effect? I have postnasal drip. thanks for the help.

Apple cider vinegar in tablet form?

Do any of you have any experience with Apple Cider Vinegar in tablet form for gallbladder pain? Did it work as well as the liquid? The liquid form irritates my stomach I have a sensitive stomach, but the tablet form looks promising. Have any of you tried it? If so, what happened? Thanks in advance.

Greatest of all time? Yes!

A few days ago, I posted asking what you folks thought about what kind of passing there would be at Indianapolis. Boy, did I ever get my answer. All it took was a cool track and—bingo!—passing that was legendario.

The traditionalists should overlook the red flag considering what was given in return. And all the cars being the same spec? That’s very close to what it was in the ’40s and ’50s, when all you had were front-engined roadsters and Offy powerplants.

If this is what we get in return, I’ll take the current era anytime—and the proof is in the pudding, isn’t it? A sold-out crowd of 350,000—one out of every thousand people in this country was at the track.

And I’m showing all my non-racing-fan friends the YouTube video of the Black Hawk helicopters 20 feet above the cars. They’re all blown away. And Felix hung it on the outside for an entire lap at the end with what’s really a one groove racetrack!

I’m just glad to be alive at this time when I can see the most incredible race in history. I’m not going to sleep tonight. I’m going to stay up and enjoy it with every kind of media I can get my hands on and I got a feeling I won’t be the only one.

Will there be more passing?

So at the 500, how does it look this year? As far as overtaking do you think they’ll be more overtaking? I haven’t been keeping up with this as much as I should have they made any changes to the cars that would allow more passing and how does it look for this year?

Along with my curve, I have legs that are bowed—not bowed inward, just bowed downward. My physical therapist said it was the result of the kyphosis. Are there any exercises that just deal with bowed knees? If there’s anyone who has this condition with their legs and knees and has been given any physical therapy exercises for them, could you share what they are? Thanks.
