Going for my 4th year out of 5 and don't know which area I'd like to pursue
So, I'm from Portugal and my dream was always to be a vet or a League of Legends Pro Player, so I ended up working towards vet med because it is much more certain, especially taking into account the country I'm in. But rn I feel bad because I feel like I'd rather pursue Pro Play since during my degree I noticed I don't really want Hospital/Clinic for my life. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that it's a very stressful life without any time for myself and I want to be more chill, if that makes sense. Is that bad?
I feel like I'd be okay doing it for like 3 years but it'd be too much after that.
Besides I have no motivation to study currently and I don't like studying or even learning for like 90% of the time. I did like surgery when I got to experience it this year but that's it, I don't like studying for the surgery and studying all this stuff, I'm not enjoying the degree itself, is that normal?
I like the practical stuff but learning stuff just seems like I lost all my interest, I used to like some stuff on my 1st year but now I just want fo get the subjects over with and go to the next one, I don't get any type of feeling from learning something new whereas I thought it would've been exciting.
I also feel like I don't know anything, but that might be impostor syndrome, but I always feel like my base knowledge isn't strong, like I'm always missing some information to fully understand the information I'm learning, idk if that makes sense lol. My girlfriend is in my class and I can't help but notice that she simply absorbs and learns SO MUCH faster and got me wondering because I've always been better at maths but my passion was always Biology, however I don't feel passion towards my degree right now.
I've also always liked zoo and wild life and thats something I'd like to pursue (even better because there are no tutors) but I isn't the salary really low? My girlfriend wants to be a pathologist, specifically a forensic one, or a uni professor, we don't plan on having kids but do plan on having animals and we wanna live comfortably ofc.
I think I ended up ranting alongside the context hahaha, but what do you guys think? Do you have any advice for me? Did u also feel this way? What area would you suggest I look up? I had a teacher that talked about data analysts, is there anyone here that can talk to me about that job, since it seems to connect biology and maths.
