I’ve been begging my mom to get me birth control for months. I hate periods. I don’t want to have kids.

There’s a lot of stigma around this too, my mother believes that the people that don’t get periods are sex workers and “dishonorable” people.

She agreed to take me to a doctor so the doctor could explain how unhealthy and unrealistic it was. She looked at me as if I was a psycho for not wanting to feel pain.

So I ask, how does one not get a period? Is there a method out there that will stop my menstrual cycle?

I’d like to know other women’s stories about this, because I genuinely feel like I’m being kept away from medical help.

(In my defence, this isn’t exactly medical advice. A simple yes or no is enough, I’ll be seeing a professional anyways.)
