Howdy all! I finally got round to building something "salamander" for my army!

I've never really been a fan of the kit or the way the squad is set up? So I decided to give them a heavy member and a sergeant more in line with intercessors. I'm really happy with how they turned out build and paint wise!

The name was suggested by a friend because they look so different from standard Infernus marines haha

Hi all, I've been playing D2 since the Red War and never really gotten too involved with proper builds. Over the last couple of weeks I thought I'd mess around and try out my first.

I'll admit, I don't have a lot of the prismatic fragments unlocked and I never really got too hands on with it (or stasis) outside of their respective campaigns but I did sort of stumble into this build and it's been quite fun.

The idea of it is that it's a gun focused build that generates stacks of frost armour and makes it more survivable for me as the gameplay goes on. Icefalls felt like a good exotic to mix into this for both instant frost armour if weapon kills have become a struggle and for freezing enemies in the immediate area.

Not sure if it's clear from the images provided but I'm using the Iron Panoply armour set.

Any questions or advice would be appreciated! Many thanks in advance! (also sorry about the stretch on the images, they're straight grabs and I wasn't sure how to fix it!)

The only unit I wanted from the new box was those beautiful new Eradicators!

I've got plans for other units but these were such a good foundation! Got far too excited to wait until I've painted these up but oh well, here they are!

Apologies these took so long, the heat in the UK is kicking my ass so these weren't as quick a turnaround as I'd hoped, but here we go!

I don't know if we have our own name for Chaplain's but it felt good to get both the standard and the terminators sorted! I have plans for a Jump Chaplain but that'll be somewhere down the road!

(Please don't look at the "floor" too much, I spilt my glue recently 🙃 I'm still recovering from the emotional damage)

So I've not long finished my Wavecaller and Wavecaller in Terminator Armour (Phobos is planned for somewhere along the line of 11th) and I am really rather excited to share!

I really enjoy the unique style we're allowed to give our specialists by only changing the purple colouring and I also had a tonne of fun doing some trial and error with the psycher lense and force weapon effects!

I've been in a bit of a mad rush getting through as much of my army as possible before 11th "officially" arrived. At the time of writing/posting I have 10 minutes left before the great day arrives so I wanted to share the final fruits of my labour!

In the past 3 days I've finished 5 Terminators, 10 Intercessors, 3 members of the company heroes unit (left the ancient for now), 2 lieutenants and a captain. I've also managed to add in some tribal/armour markings for my Sternguard I posted forever ago.

Happy new edition everyone, hope those who wanted the new box got it and that everyone is looking forward to all the new things coming our way! Looking forward to seeing it through with all of you ☺️

Other than their final wash I managed to finish up a squad of Eliminators today. Really happy with how they came together!

The way I see Eliminators is they're the most elite hunters within the chapter. After years of training they eventually are promoted to this prestigious role, often being sent solo on missions from scouting areas that require a more delicate touch or even hunting down a particular foe.

Armed with their own artificer armour, weaponry they feel most comfortable with and a modified servo-skulls for in field aid, these marines are the best The Krakens have to offer.

Got final coats on my lightning claw assault terminators, hellblasters and apothecary biologis so I had to share!

Hey y'all!

I'm working through my army right now and I've realised I have no idea what colour to the feathers I have on my army.

With purple armour, red eyes, orange helmets for sergeants, blue helmets for veterans, does anyone have any suggestions?

(I have a plan to use a certain chapter master as a jump chaplain down the line so eventually this will be fairly bold)

Any help will be greatly appreciated 🙏

A while back I asked what unit would work for a modern "Tyrannic War veterans" squad. With a mix of help from you guys and going through wahapedia I worked out that Sternguard would be the best unit!

After Instagram served up some pictures of a Danish Naval Special Unit I couldn't help but make these guys out of some left over pieces in my bits box.

The bases are drying currently but I'm really happy with how insane looking they've come out so I had to share with y'all!

I've seen a few people sharing updates of their beautiful armies recently so I thought I'd join in!

This was the first time I've had all of my models in one place so it was really a pretty cool feeling! I know there's a great sea of unpainted models but I am working through them!

I really fell in love with the Heresy model "The Tyrant of Cthonia" and wanted to have something similar for my Dark Krakens army.

I had an awful lot of fun putting him together and I can't wait to get him painted up!

I was working on Techmarine to use as basing for a Dreadnought and accidentally cooked too hard and now have a pseudo-octopus inspired Techmarine to add to my forces instead!

Hope everyone's had some hobby time this weekend, would love to see what people are working on!

Do you ever start building a model for a more scenic dreadnought base and cooked too hard and now I have a new techmarine I love...so I wanted to share him here haha
