As asked above, I've got to a point where I'm happy with the way my Word Bearer Chosen are looking but wanted to make sure these were still reading as Chosen?

Hey all, I've been working on a 1000 point Word Bearers force and the majority of it has been built from parts I've found from abandoned projects, spares from fomo boxes and just random scraps in the bits box.
They're all in a bit of a mixed state right now but I've been able to build up a terminator sorcerer, Dark Commune, Dark Apostle and Chaos Land Shrine (Raider) currently!
I have some more bits leftover to build up some Terminators and a Demon Prince but they'll need some kits to be bought first.

I asked a question about paint schemes a couple of days ago and thought I'd share what I came up with!
Haven't worked out a base scheme yet but he was a lot of fun to build up and paint! I'm looking forward to filling out a list that probably isn't very Word Bearer on paper but should hopefully be in the flesh! Or, uh, plastic?

I'm working on painting up a terminator sorcerer I built and thought it would be fun to paint them up as a Word Bearer. Looking at the art and other peoples work it's left me with a question, does the legion still have black shoulder pads?
I know the main colour is the deep red now but theres a mix of images showing marines both with and without the black pads as of 40k so i thought i'd just come to the source. How do you paint your marines and is the use of black still okay?
Got a friendly game coming up this weekend and the only thing missing from my list was a gravis captain so...here he is!
Liked the idea of him being a former bladeguard who rose through the ranks and...at some point (?) was gifted a pair of relic power fists!

Finished up my Jump Chaplain today which I am excessively happy to share with y'all but I wanted to include my current projects!
It's a Gravis Captain with relic fist, Phobos librarian and a techmarine on bike. I recognise the techmarine isn't currently a legal model (you can technically make one through Champion of the chapter rules) but I'm banking on us getting characters on bikes based on the rumours of the captain on bike!

So I finally caved and thought it would be fun to build a proxy for Adrax! I can't use his kit as it's already an Eliminator...but was fun to put him together!

Feels fantastic to have finally finished my ever so slightly custom Techmarine. I tried a tonne of different new things (swipe to the end to see my marble attempt 🙃) but I feel like he's pulled together and just about as intimidating as he should be!

Hi all, I've been lucky enough to be gifted a few models or find some cheap heresy models at local shops and so I've got a collection I'd like to turn into an army but (as the title says) I'm not sure what I'm doing.
Currently I own:
- A warsmith
- 10 breachers
- 10 cataphractii terminators
- 1 land raider carrier
- 1 deredeo dreadnought
- 2 leviathan dreadnoughts (one melee focused, one range focused)
- 1 falchion super-heavy destroyer
I'd love to add/include a Saturnine Praetor (I really love the model) as well as a siege breaker in terminator armour.
I'll be building them up as Iron Warriors but I'm not sure if I'm missing anything to make the army "table legal"? I know it's a lot of points for a first army as it currently stands but I just wanted to work out if there's a "whole collection list" possible.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance

Howdy all! I finally got round to building something "salamander" for my army!
I've never really been a fan of the kit or the way the squad is set up? So I decided to give them a heavy member and a sergeant more in line with intercessors. I'm really happy with how they turned out build and paint wise!
The name was suggested by a friend because they look so different from standard Infernus marines haha

Hi all, I've been playing D2 since the Red War and never really gotten too involved with proper builds. Over the last couple of weeks I thought I'd mess around and try out my first.
I'll admit, I don't have a lot of the prismatic fragments unlocked and I never really got too hands on with it (or stasis) outside of their respective campaigns but I did sort of stumble into this build and it's been quite fun.
The idea of it is that it's a gun focused build that generates stacks of frost armour and makes it more survivable for me as the gameplay goes on. Icefalls felt like a good exotic to mix into this for both instant frost armour if weapon kills have become a struggle and for freezing enemies in the immediate area.
Not sure if it's clear from the images provided but I'm using the Iron Panoply armour set.
Any questions or advice would be appreciated! Many thanks in advance! (also sorry about the stretch on the images, they're straight grabs and I wasn't sure how to fix it!)
The only unit I wanted from the new box was those beautiful new Eradicators!
I've got plans for other units but these were such a good foundation! Got far too excited to wait until I've painted these up but oh well, here they are!

Apologies these took so long, the heat in the UK is kicking my ass so these weren't as quick a turnaround as I'd hoped, but here we go!
I don't know if we have our own name for Chaplain's but it felt good to get both the standard and the terminators sorted! I have plans for a Jump Chaplain but that'll be somewhere down the road!
(Please don't look at the "floor" too much, I spilt my glue recently 🙃 I'm still recovering from the emotional damage)
So I've not long finished my Wavecaller and Wavecaller in Terminator Armour (Phobos is planned for somewhere along the line of 11th) and I am really rather excited to share!

I really enjoy the unique style we're allowed to give our specialists by only changing the purple colouring and I also had a tonne of fun doing some trial and error with the psycher lense and force weapon effects!
