Replacement sights for Inglis L9A1 (Old pic for reference)

Unfortunately my front sight flew off while at the range the other day, and now it appears to be too loose to actually stay anchored in the front sight cut. From what I can tell, there’s no damage to the slide and if I had to guess, it was not installed very tight to begin with. Would regular MK III sights work on this Inglis?

I’m open to options and actually kind of liked the factory sights with the white squares, but figure now might be a good time to upgrade to night sights, or try out a different style.

Thanks for any suggestions

Browning Aura has been increased to Level 5

After a few too many freedom beverages on the 4th of July, I ordered the Tisas ASF 1911 (Remington Rand “clone”) and a 4” SA-35. The ASF will be getting a long pull trigger and flat mainspring housing, as I’ve learned that is what my hand likes more. Very excited to try the new additions!

MAC MEUSOC .45
Tisas ASF 1911A1 .45
Tisas Tank Commander 9mm
Springfield SA-35 4” 9mm
1933 Colt Super 38

Not pictured: Inglis L9A1 missing the front sight after it flew off on the first magazine of the day 😭

MAC MEUSOC

Have about 2000 rounds through it since getting it last fall. Finish is just starting to wear in all the right places. Feeds Federal HST like a champ. In addition, 230gr. FMJ: as the kids say, this gun knows ball.

Help with complete barrel assembly parts (22LR 12" barrel, XM177E2 style, 16" OAL)

I am trying to put together a OAL 16" 22LR barrel assembly in the aesthetic of an XM177E2.

Below is a list of the parts I've come up with:

  1. Borebuddy 12" 22LR .625 profile barrel: https://borebuddy.com/product/borebuddy-apogee-22lr-barrel/
  2. Luth-AR A1 FSB: https://luth-ar.com/product/front-sight-base-625/
  3. BKF AR15 Barrel Nut: https://bkingsfirearms.com/shop/single-products/ar15-barrel-nut/
  4. LUTH-AR A1 slip ring: https://luth-ar.com/product/a1-slip-ring-pack/
  5. 5.5" XM-style faux moderator: https://www.tntesales.com/xm-177-gau-5-5-5-flash-hider-phosphate/
  6. LUTH-AR Handguard Cap (Round) .625: https://luth-ar.com/product/handguard-cap-round-625/

Am I missing anything that would be included in a typical complete barrel assembly? I've searched high and low for a 22LR FSB barrel that would work for an XM177E2 style rifle and it seems the only option is to make one up. I would be sending these parts to be installed/pinned & welded by a gunsmith. If anyone has any recommendations either for the parts I've chosen, anything I've missed or a smith who could assemble this for me, I would greatly appreciate it! For smiths it seems like ADCO would do everything I need.

Looking to make a .22LR XM177E2 "clone-ish" rifle

I have a stripped C7 upper and an H&R M16A1 lower, and have decided I want a dedicated rifle for .22LR. I'm interested in making it into a "clone-ish" XM177E2 rifle.

I'm still actively researching parts, but I found a post from a few years ago that led me to this site and found this barrel that appears to be exactly what I'm looking for:

https://www.model1sales.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=386

Has anyone had experience with Model 1 products and/or barrels? I don't mind putting one together myself, but being able to get one out of the box that comes with a 10.5" barrel and 5.5" moderator already pin/welded for 16" sounds good to me.

If Model 1 is a no-go, does anyone have any suggestions on brands or websites to find what I'm looking for?

I got my first shotgun in a Wal-Mart parking lot in South Carolina 13 years ago. It was a pre-1968 M500A with one action arm and no serial #. Unfortunately I ended up having to pawn it before I moved. I may have less hair now, but I certainly have more shotgun
