MPX Barrel cut recommendations pls

Just bought an MCX Carbine and will form 1 it. The intent is to get the barrel down to a 5- or 6-inch range and shoot suppressed subs with flow-through cans (verse 36/ Tisha 9). I was thinking about the ILWT barrel but figured it would be a bit cheaper if I just repurpose the 16 inch barrel.

If I send a barrel to a smith for cut/crown/rethread, is there anything I need to watch out for, or any recommendations for gunsmiths in the FL region? Is the ILWT gas plug compatible with the factory gas block?

Correlation between Muzzle device tightness and production year for 15P 300BO?

Pic for your attention. Seems like the general consensus is that 15P 300 BO’s muzzle device is harder to remove compared to the 556 version; but few ppl got lucky with theirs.

I wonder if the tightness of the muzzle device have to do with the product year? Perhaps the gorillas left FN factory already… So far I see ppl have 15P marked from 2022-2025. Please share if you had a hard time or it’s relatively easy with the year mark on your 15P 300 BO.

My 15P just arrived the FFL; but too bad I am abroad. Hopefully I got lucky with the muzzle device 🙏

AK guy new to SCAR

Picked up my first SCAR (15P in .300 BLK) and I’m trying to figure out the best suppressor mounting setup without messing up the barrel.

Right now I’m considering 2 options:

  1. Keep the factory muzzle device by using the SureFire suppressor mount—but I’m not even sure if the factory flash hider is actually a true SureFire 3-prong?

  2. Remove the factory muzzle device and install a face-mount muzzle device or a recessed-mount solution instead. instead. If you’ve gone this route, what brand or mounting system would you recommend?

Has anyone tried something similar on the SCAR 15P? If so, I’d really appreciate seeing pictures of your setup. Feel free to ask me anything about AK 😆

WEN will we get fried by institutions like chicken tenders? 😢

Paper hand here; little concerned because it’s still 93% institutions owned company, with a put call ration of 0.19

What if, a good number of institutional investors buy puts near/ above resistance (8.5) and just dump the stocks they held to crash the price???

Exchange stocks cooked me

Panic bought but ended up catching a falling knife 🤦🏻‍♂️. They’ve shown steady growth in the pass decades and swift recovery after black swan events (besides 2008) yet their price plummeted lately. How are they being impacted by tokenized trading and perpetual crypto futures. I’m curious how these trends could be both a threat and an opportunity—especially as AI-driven trading ramps up.

Currently have 2 CBOE and 1 CME LEAPS; all down ≈50%. I do plan to add more… I am a regard; should’ve just stick to SPY

Installed via crush washer or shims?

Want to make sure it’s installed via shims for suppressor use. Thanks!

26M, immigrant, sharing my 2 cents

I am extremely blessed but there are things I wish I did to optimize my ROI and net worth. My parents give me the money for college to start investing after the tuition got taken care of by the Army (ROTC transferred to USMA) Honestly it's a shame I only got a little over 50% ROI in the past years of bull market; but at least I didn't blow all that in some stupid shit, yet lol.

1: Military is a cheat code for a good financial foundation, regardless of your social class. We talking about GI Bill; VA home loan; TSP; Tri-Care, SGLI, TA, ROTC to go to Ivy League or USMA…

2: Dont be scared to use leverage. Perhaps my biggest regret was not using my VA Home loan to buy property 2020 when I was in the guard and interest rate/ property value was low. I was 20 yrs old, afraid of uncertainty, unknown and risk. In hindsight, I could've learned related info via youtube and talking to ppl…

3: Actively search for new investment ideas/ concepts/ methods. I always been slow regards to learn new things. I wish I learned option trading (LEAPS, CC, BP, etc) sooner to optimize my ability to take advantage when the market panics ( Mar 2020, 2022, Apr 2025, Mar 2026). Those opportunities would easily put me in the 7 figure net worth category.

4: ETFs. I did have a financial advisor; but honestly their service is not that useful for the 1% they charge, start with C fund of use ETFs such as IWY, VOO, or QQQ while learning more active investment concepts/ experience.

5: Take advantage of the fragment time blocks during the day to learn. This will give you the edge over your peers for the next chapter of your life. I was able to get over 140 hrs of studying in option concepts from the last mission I went on in the 50ish days.

6: Cash is not trash in the short term. When interest rate rises, valuation of equities fall; and that's the time you wish you have cash to scoop. If not, I would sell equip to buy deep in the money LEAPS to double down (not financial advice)

Please let me know if you also served and have any advice on how to convince soldiers to invest more in their Roth TSPs and themselves. Been trying to tell my soldiers to enroll but they just yes sir their way out of it…
