It’s been a while since I’ve SOBBED this much during and after the movie 😭 seriously, one of the most moving films-documentaries I’ve ever seen.

It was a blind buy from Vinegar Syndrome and it was so worth it. Feel obliged to spread the word as it only has 880 votes on IMDB and more people have to watch it and get all the feels. Anybody else familiar with this one? “My love, don’t cross that river”

Came home and had a package at the door, with my address and my details. But I’ve never ordered the set inside the package. I only have two imprint sets, they are very expensive so I would’ve remembered if I ordered anything released by them again. I went through the email nothing. I can see by the sticker order originated from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD). There is an order number which doesn’t look like Amazon number. And no order like this I can find in the email. And there’s now email saying something got delivered today

Should I unwrap it and start watching it quickly before somebody contacts about sending somebody else’s order by mistake? 😂 Still don’t get how could this mix up happened

Whoever is the brand manager of VS - you’re a genius. Something as small as OWN packing tape is just an insane branding idea. Each time I get these boxes it’s so nice already to know they are from VS 👏 so far I’m very impressed with my experience with VS. All these little touches here and there is what matters

I had no idea about this, and discovered it by accident when I was finishing MK disk extras and there were few high res pictures in the image gallery of the movie. Yes, movie already too many character just for the sake of appearance but…. I mean they even dressed up the guy already….. could’ve kept him in

I was reading one post on this sub, there was a discussion that Australian “Imprint” is not actually considered a “boutique label” and they are just a distributor, and they basically take the already made restoration done by somebody, package it nicely and sell as premium… and I was under the same impression as I was able to find the movies I searched for have been released by others in other countries.

But then there’s this release. It’s really the only 4K available right now in the world…. So does that mean they also do their own restoration work or pay somebody to do the restoration? I’m curious how licensing works for such releases and for which period, as so far there’s no other studio have this one in plans to be released… 🤔

Feel stupid, really… 🙉 I’m trying now to log every new purchase right away to bluray dot com (even before I received the delivery) to avoid dupes. Have this happened before to you and how often if more than once?

Any recommendations how to keep track of the collection? Any other useful web sites or systems you use? Besides the one I mentioned

I know these posts are not very liked here but…. I think it’s the worst damage I’ve ever seen being done the steelbook during the delivery. Sick behaviour, seriously. First time ever actually for me to receive a damaged steelbook or even disk in general 😮‍💨

These were long gone OOP so decided to try for the first time that “made on demand” option. Cover prints are very good. Good to know this is an option instead of buying from eBay for insane offers 😅

I’m watching Intolerance for the first time in a proper quality of Blu-ray. I’ve seen it years ago but it was a very very bad dvd quality. I have to say I’m so thankful to all these companies and boutique labels that restore old movies and make them not only “watchable” but also allow to notice something as ridiculous as this thread’s title happening in the background of main story line 😂

Is anybody else paying attention to such things or extras in scenes of the really old restored movies?

Things I got from arrow in June. I think first one to watch is Cruising, first and only time I watched this movie was in a very bad quality. Excited about 4K

Just received a package. From a week ago when Amazon had good discounts for prime members. I think I will rewatch all back the future movies this weekend 😍

REMEMBER to always cross check prices on multiple platforms. Same release, price is double on amazon as of it’s something rare and hard to find. Not even a steelbook 🙃
