[Release] Insaniquarium! Deluxe v1.00

Hi guys! I'm happy to announce the release of my Insaniquarium! Deluxe port for the PS Vita. The past few days have been lots of fun putting this all together and I hope you’ll have as much fun playing it as I did. The loading screen is a little slow, but I got the loading time down from 9 minutes to about 30 seconds as is. This is also the only part of the game where there are any framerate drops or audio stutters. After getting past the title screen, the game runs at a locked 36 fps almost 100% of the time. I've posted a video with gameplay footage on r/insaniquarium.

THERE ARE NO GAME FILES PROVIDED WITH THE .VPK BUILD!! You will need to buy your own copy of the game from Steam to use with the port. Install instructions are included in the readme section of the Github repository. The good news here is that the game is currently on sale for $0.99 (80% off!) until October 8th.

Here's the GitHub:

Controls & Features

Touchscreen: feed your fish, collect coins, fight aliens, tap basically anything!
Rear Touchscreen: useful for feeding fish and fighting aliens. (harder to collect coins)

X BUTTON: tap on the glass...
SQUARE: bubbles!!!
TRIANGLE: opens the Presto Change-O
CIRCLE: basic navigation/back button
L/R: cycle through menu pages

START: pauses the game
D-PAD UP: hold down to open the keyboard

I’ve done a lot of optimization so far, and there’s a few quality of life improvements that I hope to make over the next few weeks, but I’m in the thick of university studies right now so it might take a little while. I'm the most proud of the button mapping which utilizes circle as the main navigation button and triangle to access the Presto Change-O menu if you make it that far in the game. That being said, here’s a list of currently known glitches that I plan to fix soon. If you notice anything else not working well, please leave a comment!

Currently Known Glitches

DO NOT try to open the on-screen keyboard while in a pause menu, it will cause a soft lock.

I'll be adding more details to the readme and this post when I have more time, so keep an eye out for any edits on this post but it is 3:10 AM here and I need sleep. Hope you guys enjoy!!

Insaniquarium! Port Help Requested

Hi guys, I'm working on making a wrapper for this Android port of Isaniquarium! because I really want to have the game on my PS Vita.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Insaniquarium/comments/1wvlncw/comment/pdjxcl4/?context=1&screen_view_count=2

I have an app bubble so far that writes crash log reports to a .txt file in ux0:data/insaniquarium.

On start-up, this is the error that I get so far. Does anybody know what this means? I've double and triple-checked that the file names and locations are all exactly correct.

log.txt:

[LIVERLY REQUEST] Nissan GT-R NISMO ‘17

Hi guys, I bought GT7 on the summer sale and started playing it yesterday and it’s so much fun! (My first Gran Turismo game ever!) A couple of months ago I was on a trip abroad in Europe and saw this GT3 car in Monaco and it would seriously be so much fun to play as in the game. Is anybody interested in helping me make a 1:1 recreation of the design for a liverly? The model that matches it the most in-game is the Nissan GT-R NISMO ‘17.

There are a few already in game that are very similar, but the main differences I’ve noticed so far are that the 23 isn’t styled correctly and none have the Gran Turismo logo on the windshield. I have a drive by video I can share if it helps too. Also when do you unlock the ability to create your own liverlies? I’m on menu book #6 right now.

LittleBigPlanet Karting PS3 Theme

Hi guys, I found this post over on r/lostmedia today and thought I'd bring it back to the light for anyone who hasn't heard about this flash game yet. I haven't tried playing it, but will soon. It's called Sackboy: Race The Unexpected, and was exclusively a Facebook game that gave players a LBPK XMB theme to use on their PS3. Is there any way to still access this theme through backups and using a USB-drive? I'm assuming it would require CFW, but if not that'd be incredible. I don't even know what the theme looked like, so if anyone has photos or videos of it that would be nice too.

Here's a link to the original post:

Thanks!

How to Inject Save Backups to Disable Trophies

Hi guys, I‘m attempting a pretty niche hack but can’t quite get it working. Here’s the breakdown:

I have 2 separate PS Vita systems, one linked to my main PSN with tons of storage space, and the other set to a secondary account with limited space. I have a couple of bigger games I’d like to play on my main Vita without earning trophies. The best solution to this that I can find is getting the game to throw the ”You cannot earn trophies in this application“ notification upon start up. This happens when the save data for a game doesn’t match the PSN account of the system.

I’ve attempted using a combination of Save Manager and the Apollo Save Tool to export my game save, transfer it to the secondary Vita, resign it with the secondary PSN account, and import it back on the main Vita (now with a different PSN). I’m running into issues on injecting the save back on the main Vita. I can find the save in my EXT saves section and see that it is resigned, but trying to copy it over gives an error message along the lines of “The save-data cannot be copied into folder PCSE00086/PCSE00086”. Does anyone know how I could fix this or if there is a better method to accomplish this goal?

(Yes I tried asking this in the bi-weekly questions thread and nobody answered, please I need help).

I don’t want to mess around with an account switcher on my main Vita.

No Disc for LittleBigPlanet on PS6

Hi again to all the coMmunity,

I'm assuming you've all seen the news about PlayStation shifting towards digital-only releases for games starting in 2028. As LittleBigPlanet fans, this is especially unfortunate for us as the 20th Anniversary of LittleBigPlanet falls in Q4 2028.

I think it's honestly the MOST LIKELY time that PlayStation Studios would try to revive the franchise, hopefully though the release of a LittleBigPlanet collection on PS6 that has the story modes from LBP1, 2, PSP, and Vita all in one definitive game. If the rumors of a PS6 Portable are true, the Vita story mode could be ported without nearly any changes. Throw that all together with the create mode and UI from LBP2 and I think we'd be ecstatic as a community for at least a decade or two.

The shift away from physical media has already started eroding away at PlayStation's overall customer base, and we're still a couple years away from the change. The decision to shut down the PS3 and PS Vita digital storefronts highlights one of the potential concerns of an all-digital ecosystem. I'll be honest, most of my game library is digital—but I'm aware I was only able to get the affordable prices I could because of sales to compete with retailers and actual disc prices. In the LBP Community, we're all familiar with what can happen to digital DLC or software when licensing agreements expire.

PlayStation is going to need some BIG wins to stay on top in the next console generation, or they risk setting themselves up for another repeat of the PS3 era, where they narrowly ended up ahead of Xbox by the end of production. I think a return to creativity and the charm that PlayStation exclusives once held (*cough* like LittleBigPlanet) is vital for their overall success. As for myself, the only game that would convince me to buy a PS6 when it comes out is a new LittleBigPlanet. Anyone else have similar feelings?

LittleBigPlanet 1/2 Story Mode on PS5

Would it be possible to import level backups of story mode levels into LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4/5 and "port" the entire first two games onto PS5?

I'm thinking of buying a physical copy of LBP3 to play on my PS5, but I'd really only be interested if I could play the story mode for the first two games somehow. I'm curious if it's possible to import levels onto My Moon, because you could then create custom adventure maps for each of the different areas (like The Gardens or Avalonia) and essentially port all of the offline levels from LBP1/2 onto PS5.

I know it's really easy to download backups and import them on PS3, but from my research so far doing it on PS4/5 is much more difficult. I'm also not sure if PS4-edition level backups exist for the entire first two games' story modes or not (https://zaprit.fish/ shows which game a level was uploaded in). Anyways, I thought if nothing else this could be an interesting project to tackle as a community if there's enough interest for it. It'd be really cool to be able to download a PS4/5 save that has all of those levels available on the moon.

Brand New DualSense with Stick Drift

I bought one of these incredible Rhythm Blue controllers from PlayStation Direct for the Days of Play sale, and I finally opened it yesterday to try it out. I didn't have many issues, but there was once where I completely took my hands off the controller and my Sackboy started moving slowly to the right all on its own. (Which means the left stick is drifting slightly to the right). I love the color scheme, but am a bit annoyed that this happened within an hour of the controller being literally brand new.

I've put in less than 3 hours of playtime on the controller so far and only had it show up that one time. I'm not sure if this is a bad sign that it'll become a more persistent issue in the future, but should I try contacting PlayStation Support about this? I'm curious what experience others have had with this and if it's best to nip it in the bud or if I'd be able to get the same support say 2 weeks down the road if the problem shows up again. Thanks!

[MEGATHREAD] The Craftworld Collective

Hi guys! This is going to be the main place for updates and important information for the community that I created in PvZ 3. If you'd like to be added to the group chat, or to this community, please comment your PvZ 3 username below. (My username is LittleBigPlanet). For now we'll use Reddit, unless enough people show interest in a Discord. You can also sort the comments below by most recent to see my latest updates or advice for earning easy points.

I'm hoping in-game players can find this thread if they're looking for a community where we can all work together to share the effort put in needed for consistently high weekly awards. The community is currently full, but I regularly remove players who have been inactive for multiple days or who really aren't contributing any points to the Neighborville Watch. As of this week, I learned that it takes a total of 30,000 points to earn all of the Neighborville Watch rewards for any given week. If you take advantage of stage bonuses, 15 players could earn all of them by contributing only 1,000 points during the week.

I do understand life can be very busy, so it's ok if some weeks you simply don't have the time to play this fun game as much as you'd like. To show you are still interested in being part of the community, I'm asking to contribute a minimum of 150 points and to login at least every 3 days. I'll continue to filter out any players who can't meet these checkpoints so we can add other players who will be more active.

Indentation/grooves on phone case

Hey I have a plastic/rubber-ish material phone case and noticed a much bigger scratch on it this morning than before. I’m wondering if there’s a simple DIY solution that can smooth out the plastic again? My initial instinct is sandpaper but I figured people here may have more expertise or better ideas, thanks.
EDIT: I’m broke and in college so any money saved counts, I’ll buy a new one if nobody has any good ideas.

While I’m here, any advice on how to lessen visible scratches on non-glass screen protectors would also be helpful, thanks.

Hi guys, it seems like I missed the end of PVP which really breaks my heart. I thought we were going to have until midnight today, it was really unclear from EA’s publication. That being said, so far I can still see my stats and play Garden Ops on PS3, but is this only temporary? I’ve thought about playing on PS5 but I’ve heard the servers aren’t nearly as popular as the PS3 servers were
