A strange experience at a temple today that gave me goosebumps

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, but I wanted to share something that happened today because it genuinely moved me.

A while ago, while passing by a Bhadrakali Temple, I silently prayed about getting a job. I told God that if I got the job, I'd come back and make a small donation. Unfortunately, I wasn't shortlisted.

Even though my wish wasn't fulfilled, today I happened to pass by the same temple again. Suddenly I remembered the promise I had made. I felt that I should keep my word anyway, so I stopped my car and made that small donation.

Now here's what gave me goosebumps.

For the past few days, I've been thinking about starting to read the Bhagavad Gita. It kept coming to my mind, but I hadn't actually started.

Also, last year I had made another promise to Lord Tirumala (Balaji) that I would offer my hair at Tirupati.

When I got out of the car to make the donation, I noticed a picture of Lord Tirumala right there. I've passed that place many times over the years, and I honestly don't remember ever seeing that picture before.

Then, right beside the donation box, I saw a copy of the Bhagavad Gita.

At that moment, it felt like everything connected at once—the promise I had just fulfilled, my recent thoughts about reading the Gita, and seeing Lord Tirumala's picture.

Maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe it was God reminding me to stay on the spiritual path. I don't know.

All I know is that it gave me goosebumps and left me feeling peaceful.

Has anyone else had an experience like this where a series of events felt too meaningful to ignore?

Should I Follow This Python Backend & Cybersecurity Roadmap or Learn MERN for 2026 Placements?

I'm a 22-year-old engineering student and a friend shared this roadmap with me for Python backend development + cybersecurity.

The roadmap covers:

- Python fundamentals

- Linux

- Networking & HTTP

- Flask/FastAPI backend development

- Databases

- OWASP Top 10 and security fundamentals

- Security-focused Python projects

- DSA alongside everything

The estimated timeline is around 4–6 months if followed consistently.

My questions:

  1. If someone follows this roadmap seriously for 2–3 hours daily over 6 months, where would they realistically land?

  2. Would they be ready for Python Developer, Backend Developer, SOC Analyst, or Security internships?

  3. What skills or topics would you add, remove, or change?

  4. For someone starting from scratch, should I continue with this Python backend + security path, or would learning the MERN stack be a better use of time for internships and placements in 2026?

I'd appreciate honest feedback from people working in software development or cybersecurity.

Girlfriend is 9 days late after taking i-Pill immediately. How worried should we be?

My girlfriend (26F) is 9 days late on her period and we're both stressing out.

We had sex about 3 days after her period ended. I did not ejaculate inside her, and she took an i-Pill immediately after sex (within a very short time).

She hasn't had any pregnancy symptoms so far. The only thing is that her period is now 9 days late. She's planning to see a gynecologist soon.

I know nobody can tell us for sure whether she's pregnant or not, and she'll take a test/see a doctor, but I'm trying to understand how common it is for i-Pill to delay a period by this much.

Has anyone experienced a similar delay after taking emergency contraception? What was the outcome?

Thanks.

Hey guys, I had a genuine doubt and wanted some real opinions from people who know about defense life.

Can CDS officers (Army/Navy/Air Force) actually afford luxury cars like Audi, BMW, etc.? Have you personally seen officers owning such cars?

I understand the salary is decent and there are perks, but I’m curious about the real ground reality — not just numbers on paper. Like:

- At what rank does it become realistically possible?

- Is it common or very rare?

- Do officers even prefer buying luxury cars, or do they stick to practical ones?

I’m trying to understand the lifestyle aspect of a defense career vs other paths like corporate/business.

Would really appreciate honest answers 🙏
