It doesn’t have to make all that much sense, if any at all, I just want to know what feels right to you.

Like me for example, I absolutely think the frats had something to do with it, but I can’t figure out what the motive would be beyond drugs—which is a whole other theory in and of itself—or a revenge killing of some kind.

“The seeming local consensus: [Pastor Doug Wilson] and his church are an irritating, possibly even evil, cultlike presence in their midst.”

The church is insanely wealthy, owns “most of Moscow’s prime real estate” and have “filled Main Street with church-owned schools and businesses: New Saint Andrews, the K-12 Logos School; the Sword and Shovel bookstore, Bucer’s coffeehouse. The church even has its own bar: Tapped.”

The “Kirkers” as they’re called, are known for their “blond Caucasian” looks and “preppy atire.” (Aryan-Americans strike again) “The men wear button-down shirts and jackets, and the women all wear skirts—a distinction that feeds into the perception of misogyny. The town finds the church’s attitudes towards women antiquated at best, and repugnant at worst.”

In 2019, in a UI campus talk entitled “Toxic Matriarchy” given by conservative pastor Christopher Wiley, moderated by Wilson, Wiley argued that modern society was “suffering” so much because women “have basically gotten too much power.”

In 2020, three members of the church were arrested for singing Psalms outside city hall, unmasked, in protest of the city’s mask mandates. Weeks later, Doug Wilson’s grandsons, Seamus and Rory, were arrested for placing “Soviet Moscow” hammer-and-sickle stickers on utility poles. They were wearing hijabs at the time. The charges against Seamus were dropped but Rory was convicted - they appealed the ruling. Doug Wilson used the police’s (perceived) incompetence in the early days as PR for his grandson’s litigation and the church in general.

He said this in his congregation newsletter: “You are all aware that it was this same police department that arrested some of our members for singing Psalms legally… and lawsuits are in progress. But this is all pursued biblically and out of true principle, and does not want to unjustly tar those good cops who had nothing to do with it. So if we give way to any carnal gloating or glee over the fact that our police department is now receiving very critical attention from all over the world (which it is), then we have become part of the problem.”

This reads mockingly to me, like a joke.

“And at last, we need to take a few steps back and look at the big picture. Our little town keeps finding itself in the limelight, and it has to be acknowledged that something strange is happening… Meet the Press came and did a story on what was happening here in Moscow, tagging our town as the place where the Christian Nationalism thing is going on. And then these sensational murders happened.”

Wilson never denies the allegations of Christian Nationalism? Feels like something you would do if you wanted to keep your so-called charitable reputation intact.

“He regularly invites local law enforcement and other civic leaders to lunch in a back room of the church. They refrain from talking about the lawsuits, but he subtly and unsubtly reminds them of the church’s importance in the community.”

Does this not smack of coercion and corruption to anyone else?? He’s using his position to influence the decisions made by law enforcement - and who’s to say some members of law enforcement aren’t also members of his congregation? (Fry is cited as being devout. Just saying.)***

“Wilson tells people that Moscow was on a downhill trajectory until Christ Church and it’s businesses came along. But Wilson would like to be much more than just an economic solution for Moscow. “Our desire is to evangelize the town,” he said. So the murders, though tragic, are an opportunity for him to step in and preach the need for his church to fill the moral and spiritual vaccum.”

The “hoodie guy” video where Adam is mentioned was given to police by someone who worked at Saint Andrews. “[The video was obtained] from a man who did not want his name out there or his connection, via his girlfriend, to New Saint Andrews College.”

Marc Trivelpiece, the owner of the Corner Club where Adam Lauda worked, said this of the church: “They are like chaos. Anything that can get the people who are dead set on being in Moscow to loosen their grip and make it easier for their people to come in, they’re going to do it.”

Obviously, I don’t think the murders were cult sacrifices, or orchestrated by the church, or whatever. But it would not be out of the realm of possibility that a student or a parent of a student that is involved with this cult church, and could get Wilson to pull strings within the police department that we already know he has his fingers in.

Whatever the case, this is some Project at Eden’s Gate Jonestown Kai Anderson shit and it is fucking weird.

**EDIT: Just confirmed it, while Fry is not one of them, some of Wilson’s congregation ARE police officers!

TLDR: Why was the blade guard on the weapon noted in EC’s autopsy and not mentioned in anyone else’s?

“Dr. Singh will provide testimony regarding evidence that the knife used on EC showed indications that there was a blade guard.”

Why is EC’s autopsy the only one that mentions a blade guard?

I thought at first it was just to prevent repetition about the weapon but the autopsies repeat that the wounds are “consistent with a single-edged knife” (EC, MM), “single-edged and/or double edged knife” (KG, XK)

XK’s also notes “appearance of serration”, so they were documenting everything about the appearance of the wounds/weapon.

So would they not also repeat that there was evidence of a blade guard on the knife used on the other victims? Or was it not said because there was no evidence of a blade guard, indicating a totally different weapon used on the other three (or two)

I just want to clarify if I’m misunderstanding that a blade guard was only present on him or if it was present on all of them

I feel like the number seens to fluctuate every episode.

The chariot race scene makes it look like there are roughly a hundred, maybe a little more? Hermes cabin doesn’t look big enough to hold Hermes’ (*unconfirmed number of) kids, plus the unclaimed, plus the children of minor gods without cabins of their own. IIRC the Apollo cabin is canonically the most populous cabin (of ‘biological’ children at least)? And we know Clarisse has a few brothers in the Ares cabin.

*I’m assuming Hermes must have quite a few halfbloods because of what they said to Percy: “What happens in Vegas is the reason for half the kids in the Hermes cabin”

I like the name Sam, but I’m not fond of the full name Samantha. Didn’t say ‘girls name’ because I’m open to more masculine ones (obviously not Samuel, lol)

friend of mine’s account stopped showing up in my following, posts aren’t in my likes, when i searched up their username manually posts they’re involved in don’t say (username)-deactivated, it’s just their username, but the profile icon is the default anon one with the glasses. tapping on their user gives me the “that’s no one” or “who?” Thing, but it still gives me the option to unfollow them and search through their posts; searching anything turns up “couldn’t find that” or “tragically nothing.” you don’t usually get the option to search in someone’s account when they deactivated do you(?) i’m not sure.

They spend a lot of time in this cupola and I’m not even sure where it’s supposed to be. I think somewhere in or around the Great House (iirc)? But cupolas aren’t very big at all, and they’re usually at the very top of buildings, accessed either internally (through the house) or by getting onto the roof itself. Or they aren’t accessible at all and are purely decorative. Does this cupola have stairs that go up to it? Because then it’s not a cupola, it’s just a turret. How big is it supposed to be?? Big enough for Stevie to pace around in, plus Nate. That’s like, a very large cupola. More of a private balcony. I wonder if Maureen Johnson was thinking of something else and just thought it was called a cupola?? I don’t know. Does anyone have any idea or think this aswell

Not new to the game, but I only just started using the stock feature and I literally have no idea how to work it. I don’t understand the online guides either (English is not my first language)

I’m not paying £100+ for expansion packs on a mobile game, fuck that. Bought bitizenship in like 2018-2019, but it was on an android phone. Is there any way to restore it or am I screwed?
