Opportunity to become OE with keeping old job while accepting a new offer: how do I avoid not having a P45 or the tax code itself revealing what I am doing?

So I am in a very comfortable position, where I am a postdoc fully remote with a lot of freedom and low workload and do some part-time research consulting work in my home country, in total earning around 65k. Now I got a job offer that will need me to be in a London office 3 days for a pay of 100k. The pay alone does not worth it for me to relocate and return to the office, BUT I could easily manage keeping my current setting. I figure the 165k total may be just about worth the trouble of relocation and going to an office.

However, I am not too familiar with how things work in the UK. I think the new guys' HR would figure it out rather easily, as I would not be able to provide a P45, and I guess they will eventually figure out my tax code which will indicate I have multiple incomes/higher income than what they pay me. How do people go about this?

EDIT for clarification: J1 is UK postdoc with a lot of freedom and flexibility, fully remote. J2 is a low effort foreign part-time job. J3 would be a 3 day on-site role in London. J3 expects me to resign from J1,J2, and I worry the lack of P45 and my "higher" tax code will be a red flag,.

Renters with pets: do you approach your search any differently or did you notice any difference since the new law?

Renters with pets: do you approach your search any differently or did you notice any difference since the new law?

We started looking, wanting a change in scenery. I have noticed that instead of most ads explicitly stating "no pets", most ads now don't mention it at all.

I am wondering what is our best approach or strategy with our dogs, and whether landlords actually give an F about this new act. How would it even work with new tenant applications? I guess they can just say we picked someone else because "whatever reasons" when in reality it was because they don't want dogs.

Advice on whether I can pass US Degree Equivalency Evaluation if I completed my PhD but have not received the degree certificate yet.

I passed my corrections in June. So, having been sitting on needles, I finally started applying for the US green card, retained a lawyer. I have just realised, I made a naive assumption, thinking I will receive my degree in 2-3 weeks (that's how it works in my home country). So now it seems I will be stuck, as the UK Diploma Production Office is rather slow, and I can expect a 6+ months delay. Not ideal, I was hoping to avoid hefty time-related UK visa cost issues (or having to move home, before moving to the US), which this would hinder.

Have you any experience on whether I can obtain some interim document that some NACES member evaluation services will accept?

VW Beetle Turbo 2014: Tyre pressure, ABS, ESP, servo lights come on at each start, but disappear after 10-15 minutes of driving. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

As title says. The light first came on when I drove over a bump, and since then the symtpoms are like described in the title. In addition, sometimes only the servo light remains on. There is no changes to how the car behaves at all.

Your Conference Poster won't be allowed on-board, even if you paid for a second luggage.

Just be mindful in case you have to travel to a conference with a poster via wizzair. I had an A0 poster rolled up coming from a conference, without a container. I never had any trouble on any other flights before with posters. I knew wizz played a hyper petty game, so decided to pay for a second luggage just in case they consider the poster as an extra item. That wasn't enough, at the gate I was told the paper poster wouldn't fit unless I paid a fine :)

Between folding and ruining it or paying, I told the Wizz Karen to eat it and left it with her. It's cheaper to print it again.

Good luck everyone with this sh*t company.

3 Refund offers for EB2 NIW from Chen, Ellis Porter and Green Card Link. Help me choose; what are everyone's experiences with either?

I am an EU applicant (so already current), an early career Agentic AI researcher. No status in the US. I don't mind doing much of the work myself, reliability and quickness is a higher priority for me. The attorney costs are all very similar, so far Ellis Porter seems to be the fastest to respond to emails and respond in the most details.

I am also going for the Premium Processing, although some firms seem to not like it.

If you have experience with any of these firms, positive or negative, please share.
