As a biriyani lover, I try chicken biriyani everywhere I go, even in different cities or states. So as a local, I've made this compilation of how chicken biryani from different hotels of Shimoga tastes like. Took me around 2 years to try all these hotels. There could be a lot of hotels missing from this list, so please comment if you know any.

The below list is just my opinion, based on taste, rice quality and the kind of style they prepare it in. I personally prefer hydrabadi style biriyani.

r/ BangaloréBikes 1st track day session was a success

We had organised a beginner level training session for people who wanted to experience track riding. With classroom sessions and practice laps with trainers. It was similar to an L1 training session but we're not giving any cirtificates.

💰 Cost: ₹2,000 per rider

Important Information:

- 🏍️ Sports bikes only (bring your own bike)

- Atleast 40% tyre health must be left.

- 🦺 Full riding gear is compulsory (helmet, jacket, gloves, riding pants & riding boots) you will not be allowed to enter track without this.

- 🎓 This is not a training/coaching session. There will only be a basic track introduction and briefing by one of our experienced track riders before the (practice) sessions begin.

- ✅ Ride at your own pace and enjoy a controlled track environment.

- small breakfast and coffee will be provided after the session.

Whether it's your first time on a track or you're looking to improve your confidence, this is a great opportunity to experience riding without traffic, potholes, or oncoming vehicles.

Rifle training program has been started by Shimoga police.

So applications are open for this year's rifle training program, conducted by Shimoga police. I attended last year. It's a 10 day program, where they teach you basics of rifle, how to handle, use and maintain one. You won't get a licence, it's just a training session. But in case you wanna apply for gun licence, this certificate will help. On the last day there'll be firing test, where you can find out how good your aim is. It's a free for all program. You can go to DAR office (opposite to SIMS college) and get your applications and submit to police station near you.
